Same day as Texas @ LSU for football.
That’s one hell of a day.

So nice to be relevant in hoops again after the four year nightmare

Hopefully that game is middle of the day or at 10:00pm central

FYI it’s possible to make the football game and basketball game in person.

Also playing in a tournament over Thanksgiving in Palm Springs. I believe USC, Arizona State and SMU are the other teams.

I hope Wade does the game in the LSU Ag Center barn where Pistol Pete played

Will Wade on the McTrash way of scheduling cupcakes for a false sense of security

So we don't know the times yet of either the football or the basketball game. I hope they don't clash

We've played USC 7 times; LSU is 1-6 vs the Trojans.

Wade is bringing the nuts
And Gonzaga about to go "why are we playing a euro pro team" once we get there

Yeah, it's not a great field compared to others. But the last 4 years have really diminished the LSU basketball brand. It will take a little success to get into the more marquee events.
Also, I don't know if it has been announced, but there was discussion on here that Wade was working on a deal to play Houston @ the Toyota Center (where the Rockets play). Combine all of that with the fact LSU will get a (TBD) ACC opponent at home and LSU already has a decent OOC schedule with only 4-5 games being known at the moment.

He discussed that in his prior tenure. It was determined to be too much a pain/expense to retrofit Parker Coliseum to host a modern, televised, major college basketball game.

They've got home games signed with the following teams at the moment:
UNO
Texas Southern
LA Tech
Queens
Hofstra
High Point
ULL
Washington State

If this is accurate then it sounds like 30 of the 31 games are booked. Those teams, + Gonzaga and the Thanksgiving tournament, and then the 18 SEC games.

Hofstra and Washington St are decent home games.

The LSU/Houston game at the Toyota Center was talked about on plenty national websites, but I think they all said the date was TBD.
There will be huge crowds for the 1st couple games, but I don’t want the fanbase to get that lull in enthusiasm for the whole month of December when it’s just a bunch of mid-majors nobody cares about. I’m really hoping for one big name early season home game, but that seems unlikely.
Scheduling games with Houston and Gonzaga means he knows he’s going to have a good team though.
Who knows, maybe we can get brand name team for the ACC/SEC challenge. If the home/away holds true it look like possibilities would be Syracuse, Duke, Pitt, Wake, BC, FSU, GT & ND. Duke at Florida seems like a no brainer for ESPN though.

Wow and already have Houston on the OOC schedule too. Feels like forever since we’ve played top tier OOC opponents
