I’m not crying at all. It’s a talking point and it’s unfortunate that you’re so easily triggered. You sound like a teenage girl with your emotionally charged insults.
I hope you learn to discuss things like an adult. When you do, I’ll respond to you.
Just because someone isn’t happy with the job mainieri has done the last couple of years and lacks confidence in his ability/motivation to regroup doesn’t
mean they are dumb.

Do you print out quotes from Omaha about LSU fans and frame them on your wall?
Pat yourself on the back a few times. You deserve it.

The need for some of these guys to play "Devil's advocate" on issues they clearly don't know anything about is, I guess, what they come on here for? Nobody can legit argue that PM hasn't regressed as a program manager. Some won't care but some of us still believe LSU can/should be the premier baseball school in the SEC!

I said some time ago with had the worst three coaches of anyone in the major sports(per talent that LSU has).....Jones, Myles, and Mainieri. Well, two have been taken care of and it's past time for Mainieri!

I agree. They are an overly sensitive bunch. I guess that’s why the box ain’t what it used to be
You’ve got people like them sitting on their hands and giving victory laps to the opponents

Yep. He is Les Miles in a baseball uniform. Time to move on and reinvigorate the baseball program.

Last 10 seasons: 1 tourney missed, 3 regional losses (1 home, 2 on road), 3 super regional losses (all home), 3 CWS appearances (4 wins 6 losses in CWS games)
CWS this year it’s time to give Paul the boot

Yes, the SEC is loaded, but for the most part, LSU is not even keeping up. This program has held HUGE recruiting advantages, including prestige, but those advantages have been squandered by complacency. Until now, I have been a Manieri fan, but I have to admit the obvious...

Yeah, this season's gonna be rough all around. There's just no really easy road through the SEC this season.
Also, the Vandy Whistler isn't dead, so frick that guy.

On the whole, nah. LSU baseball fans show up to support the team once it warms up and they'll stay past the 5th inning. The ones who post here? fricking right.

Okay. So the SEC is loaded.
Why aren’t WE loaded? Last time I checked, we were in the SEC, too.
If the rest of the league is loaded, and you are not, then what’s the problem? Fate? Gingivitis? Crawfish prices?
Maybe it’s the head guy in the dugout?
Nah, that couldn’t possibly be it. Gotta be something else...

I don't know much, but I believe the following are true:
1) 11.7 limits a team from being able to truly recruit. LSU could capitalize on full scholarships better than most. Hell, you need 16 to just get the starters (9 position, 4 starters, 2 setup, and 1 closer).
2) LSU used to use TOPS to have 50+ players on roster. They changed the rules to stop this practice (25/35).
3) Apparently private schools can blow past 11.7. I don't understand this, but national reporters have been saying this about TCU and Vandy for several years.
I have seen LSU working hard and successfully on recruiting.
I have seen arm injuries wreck a season (last year).
I remember Skip beating teams, UCLA comes to mind, with a bunch of pros by putting some 5th year walk-on in the game who then makes the all region team. This guy would not even be on a current team due to changes in the rules.
The competition now is orders of magnitude greater than what Skip faced. Skip faced much higher competition than Dedeaux from SC who has the most championships. I think getting 20 or so scholly would help, but the days of just dominating everyone are over.
