Again your thinking about CPM grinding out regular season wins sure we'll finish top in SEC every freaking year!!! Problem is he doesn't recruit or build a team that can win in the post season.

Because the SEC loaded we have to be the 7th highest rank team!!!!??? Bullshite this one on Paul arse

You’re whining about a preseason ranking.

hope Woodward told Pawl it's CWS or pack up your shite time.
Where has Woodward gotten this reputation of being such a badass from? All I have seen are good coaches leaving that he claimed to have wrapped up months ago.

Can we all agree that improvement is expected? Fair?
Yes. Mainieri needs to get to Omaha with the current pitching staff.

Agreed. He’s built some good rosters
This pitching staff is elite. The lineup is a concern but they shouldn’t have to score a ton

The last 2 years plus this years roster are more meaningful indicators imo
Some of you are so predictable. You cry about made up stuff. You are then proven wrong. The numbers are staring you right in the face, and what do you do?
"Oh we need to cut it off the season AFTER we made it to the CWS Finals."
How convenient of a cut off point to change it to, after you've been proven wrong.

The ranking not what I’m whining about. I’m an LSU baseball fan and I’m just not use to being mediocre. You me to tell me i’m left to hope we better then the 7th rank team in the SEC!!!! That’s embassassing

I haven't heard a single person who is labeled a Mainieri apologist say anything different than this right here. Yet, it doesn't stop the same jackasses from spewing the BS.
I can't believe I'm worked up 3 weeks before the start of the season. I see a banning in my future this baseball season. I rarely make it through one anyway.: lol:

Why would you be left to hope that based on a stupid poll? I think that everyone would agree that if we finish 7th with this team, barring major injuries, that it's time for a change.

I had to quit reading this morning,I think for my sanity I’m going to stay out of baseball threads except for BPBs

I wish I could follow that lead. Baseball season is my favorite one though, and I enjoy good baseball discussions, and there are some really knowledgeable people on this board. Every thread turns into the same hating BS though. My frustration in a specific thread probably seems over the top, but it's always a combination of multiple threads that causes the unraveling in one.

That's one thing I can't do. If you are doing the play-by-play, that's one thing, but to listen to that garbage while watching a game... No way I could do it. I avoid every sports game threads.

I don't know why anyone would take issue with this line of reasoning. I made a similar post earlier and got blasted. I was told by one poster that it "Ain't '97 anymore" in reference to LSU being caught/passed by several SEC programs. That's just the same apathetic mindset some fell into here with Miles. We are a baseball blueblood..we SHOULD expect our program to represent the foundation it was built on. When we stop doing that, we can either change direction or except mediocrity. I personally would chose the former if it comes down to it.

i realize it's just a preseason poll which means nothing, but LSU should never be considered 7th best in the polls
LSU is ranked 12th nationally, in that meaningless poll. Are you under the impression that Skip never had teams that were ranked so "low?"

Don’t let me get you fired up man. It sounds like we agree about this season and what the expectations are.
We have different opinions about mainieri and his overall performance, but so be it.
Baseball is also my first love as far as sports go. That’s why I get so aggravated with seeing the complacency that I perceive within the program. LSU deserves better than complacency and the family/friends plan of hiring assistants.
Here’s hoping the Tigers end the season in Omaha
