It's not a shocker that LSU has regressed while the rest of the conference seems to be progressing. Manieri has let this happen. He has to go, period, if LSU wants to get back to where it should be. He is just like miles was before we fired his arse. He's hard headed and his way of recruiting and playing ball just aren't working. Woodward will show him the door after this season, bc there's not a chance in hell this team is going to even make Omaha this year...again. totally unacceptable for LSUs program. Paul has let this get away from him and only has himself to blame. Some of our idiot fans will say that I'm the one that's wrong and I don't know what I'm talking about. Well, to them I say, bookmark my post and revisit it after we get eliminated in the tournament in the supers at best...bc it's going to happen. Geaux Tigers.

You are correct, it doesn't. But the fact still remains, that you are.

Yes, the SEC is loaded, but for the most part, LSU is not even keeping up.
This is false. Post the past, 5+ years of SEC rankings to prove you aren't full of it.

This program has held HUGE recruiting advantages
Also false.

Until now, I have been a Manieri fan, but I have to admit the obvious
The only thing that's obvious is that you are just making stuff up to fit your narrative. And you are doing it with things that are easily disproven.

Are you satisfied with the last 2 years?
You think Mainieri has not underachieved in numerous seasons? More than not?

Why should I have to disprove anything? I'm not the one posting ridiculous lies.

Not really. Which is why i have said multiple times that he needs to produce results this year, with this team, otherwise next season will probably be his last. I think there will be a fall off next year, which would result in his forced retirement/firing after his seat is burning.

His seat is warm this year. I don’t have much patience for the guy. I think he has underachieved more than not. He tries to be too cute and mismanages so many situations in the course of a game it’s infuriating
His lack of any coherent logical explanation for pitching to Mendoza in the supers with a base open was inexcusable
Yea to see us falling behind 3-4 other baseball programs in the sec is sad
Downvote the hell out of it I don’t care. Skip built a dynasty program and lots of guys busted their asses and still care. You’d think the die hards on this board would have more heart and fight than bending over and wimpering about it not being the 90s anymore
Grow a set boys and don’t be scared of high standards

Wake up ole sport...this isn’t the 90’s anymore. You need to break away from the college baseball of the past...where there were 6-7 elite teams a decade. That’s quadrupled. With this being said Mainieri needs to make a deep run with this pitching rotation either this year or next there’s no question.

Don’t care, We just won a football Championship.
The golden age of LSU baseball is in the past. Other SEC programs have caught up and in some cases have passed us by...

No doubt. All I’m saying is this program deserves to maintain the standard. You don’t use competition as an excuse to lower the standard.
Losing regionals and supers at home to inferior teams isn’t the standard is it?

I did the research to prove you dead arse wrong, and because you wouldn't do it yourself because you know you are wrong. I don't expect this to shut you up, but go ahead and argue these facts.
Average SEC finish the past four seasons
Miss St - 4.25
Florida - 4.25
LSU - 4.5
Vandy - 5.25
Arky - 6.5
UGA - 6.75
Ole Miss - 7.25
Where's the falling behind here?
SEC Tourney Championships Past 4 years
Vandy - 1
Ole Miss - 1
LSU - 1
aTm - 1
Where's the falling behind here?
Regional Appearances the past four years
Vandy/Miss St/LSU - 4
Arky/Ole Miss/UF - 3
UGA - 2
Where's the falling behind here?
SR appearances in the last four years
MSU - 4
LSU - 3
Arky/Vandy/UF - 2
OM - 1
Where's the falling behind here?
CWS appearances the past four years
UF - 3
Miss St - 2
LSU/Vandy/Arky - 1
I think everyone agrees there needs to be improvement here. LSU should have made the CWS last year, and they should make it this year as well.
So, I'll ask again....where is the LSU is falling so far behind so many SEC programs coming from?

Absolutely not. The comparing 2020 to the 90’s gets tiring however.

What teams have we fallen behind in the SEC? I’m just curious. I will give you Vandy, but that’s really it.

The last 2 years plus this years roster are more meaningful indicators imo.
The trend is not favorable.
2017 was the last season where the team really seemed to reach their potential.
2018 Austin Bain hit cleanup and last year we lost at home in the supers to an inferior team
This team has arms but lots of questions
We will see

Can we all agree that improvement is expected? Fair?

We aren't very good plain and simple. Beside the world series run 3 years ago we haven't done crap in 10 years.
CPM is a great regular season coach, but he can't develop a team that is built to win post season.
Like Les miles I'm hoping for failure so we can get a better coach for the future.
