It's the rivalry that never was. Arky thinks there is something there, but most LSU fans DGAF about the pigs.
For a rivalry to exist, both fan bases need to care, and ideally there should be some parity in the series. This has neither.
I'm ok Aggie and Ole Piss, but could have named 5-6 teams I'd rather have before Arky.

Agreed. I feel its mostly the youngsters that don't realize that we used to open the season every year against A&M until we expanded the SEC in 1992. Before discontinuing the series in 1992 we played A&M more times than some of the other Big 6 Teams such as Auburn, GA, and TN.
Additionally, they don't have an appreciation of the for the non sports rivalry that exists among military officers and Oil & Gas professionals.

There is nothing exciting about playing A&M. Give me Auburn,Florida and Alabama. The stadium is always rocking for those games.

The average LSU grad is far more likely to encounter a TAMU grad in life than a Florida grad or bama grad.
Geography and school strengths match up to having a lot of overlap.
This shouldn’t be the primary determinant but it can’t be ignored either. Which is why I don’t consider Tamu and LSU a “forced” rivalry.

For you but for a significant portion of the base it is exciting. I agree with Au, FL, and AL. For me I would like a&m with AL and FL.

This schedule sucks. The SEC that I have enjoyed for years is now unrecognizable. The fascination that the league has with pairing LSU with TAM is galling. I feel like I'm part of a bad arranged marriage.

There is no way that a significant part of the fan base thinks the A&M game is exciting. It’s a boring game and their fans are just weird. Give us sec games not big12 games.

I will 100% guarantee we will play at least one of these every season. It just won’t be the same 1.
From what I understand we will alternate the remaining teams every other year.
Significantly better than when there was a time it would take forever to rotate around East opponents and significantly better than the bridge schedule. It really sucks not having played auburn the last two years
