That lawsuit involves the players not LSU? Proving collusion to entice the lawsuit won’t be easy and surely wont be grounds for SEC to hand down stiff penalties much less expulsion…

I could have sworn there is actually one or two more slots still available…..
If they do not count against the 105 roster limit, those players would not be on the 105 list but designated at "Designated Student Athletes" on a separate list.

No one was kicking anyone off the team. Anding wasn't playing anyway because he had a season ending injury during camp. Gabe might come back but it could be much later in the season and that's probably if needed. The guys were still on scholarship just not counting towards the 105 roster. Would be the equivalent to IR in the pros.

Sankey was publicly humiliated under oath in court on the record with media present with not being able to define what a professional player is and saying he had not read the updated bylaws of the 5 in 5 rule that he was basically suing LSU over. There is no real victory for him in this. The damage is done to his image big-time. No one who reported or read about his testimony has come to his defense on that.
In the end, these were two players who would have been nice to add, but we were never guaranteed to be adding them and neither were game-changing studs. LSU"s roster is good enough already. And also, these lawsuits against the conferences and the NCAA are not going away.

I just love how the SEC has such a hard on for us but when it comes to Ole Miss and their 6th year senior QB they bent the knee and didn’t do shite. His arse isn’t any more legal to be playing in college than anyone else by rule. But the SEC picks and chooses who it wants to mess with.

The SEC wants to show they can be the one to govern programs by being tough right now with LSU. But imagine having the SEC be the final judge of the rules seeing how they were arbitrarily applied to LSU, with the threat of expulsion over something other schools are doing.
IMO, the SEC has already shown they cannot be trusted to fairly govern the programs. Sankey got embarrassed and lashed out emotionally like a purple haired woman.

Because as the SEC is proving now it makes decisions based on feelings. It felt sorry for OM for being rejected by LK, so they stepped aside and let the court’s action on Chambliss go unchallenged.
A well-run organization would be consistent, act per the letter of the law, and not throw a hissy fit when it’s embarrassed.
