Yep.
Verge knows what he is doing and he goes about his business quietly and under the radar. I like that.

This really can’t be overstated. How many times have we seen the AD completely bumble and frick up a coaching search and miss on coaching targets and make an arse of themselves? I didn’t think they’d land Lane and I all but knew they weren’t getting Wade. I was dead arse wrong.

Agreed even if Verge isn’t the one doing the lifting, there is a lot to be said for him understanding his role. He should get credit for being smart to let the gov and boosters do the grunt work.

I’m just glad we have an AD that knows what the fans want and goes and gets it. For as dumb as we all are in a lot of cases, LSU fans typically know what kind of coach will succeed here.

Glad the excitement is back and we are making a change. Really don't think Verge had anything to do with this. Not sure he has even talked to Wade. That is why they had to bring in the AD from McNeese as Wade will be under him primarily and not Verge.
