re: LSP release Lacy info in reference to Lacy attorney misinformation

I think everyone just needs to take a step back on this one. It’s still a sad situation because it’s not like Kyren went out and shot someone. He indirectly caused a wreck at worst. Which he needed to be held accountable for if it’s true. But still a very sad situation for all involved regardless. The outrage on both sides is always what destroys everything and everyone.
Very clear though Ryan Clark should have done more research instead of reacting like a tiger droppings poster.

She should have simply hit the gold truck from behind limiting the damage.
Again, two people can be at fault here. Lacy obviously started the chain of events. I don’t think anyone including his lawyer disputes that. The question is how much blame he gets. Perhaps not all of it if the white car was following too closely and not paying attention. What can’t be disputed is that Lacy broke the law and cause gold truck to make a decision to evade either by slowing down or turning off the road or both.

The ambulance chaser used the video of the truck driver bailing off into the parking lot to calculate his speed. After he hit the brakes and veered right to avoid Lacy. Its an extremely dishonest trick.
Its not even logical that she could have been following closely at 40MPH if he was only driving 28.

That's not true at all. The Astros fan was thew driver of the semi and saw everything. In fact, there were zero witnesses that didnt at minimum, lay part of the blame on the green Charger.

Everybody needs to stop pretending to be lawyers. He caused the accident.
We're not pretending to be lawyers. We're just using our eyeballs. Lacy was responsible for all violations he committed here, but the details of the accident in relation to where he was, says a lot more about other people making bad decisions and not paying attention, that causes an overreaction.
So, if you still want to assign partial blame to Lacy, do as you see fit. But the police just pinning it all on him is not accurate, and we know that at least one officer tried to force a false statement from a witness. And that shouldn't sit well with anyone. And I don't think race has anything to do with it. It's lazy police work, looking to "solve" a case, by filling in gaps that make their job easier.

That’s the issue I have. Lacy was charged with Felony hit and run, negligent homicide, and reckless operation. The only one I believe he should have been charged with is reckless operation here.

I do'nt know how many of you have driven right there before, but where he's flying by people and passing people is not a place where you ever see people passing people up, and it's extremely dangerous to do so right there.
For starters, it's a no passing area. double yellow lines.
secondly, he just went from going 55 for a while and the speed limit has dropped to 40. He just took a curve and passed a church where most normal people who drive that area regularly slow down regardless of the speed limit b/c it's an area with a lot of traffic and possibly people walking around. after that curve and church, it's a little stretch of straight away (this is where he's passing people) but it's a no passing area, and there's the gas station and dollar general and what not on both sides, so passing right here is beyond stupid and i completely understand why oncoming traffic would get nervous with a dumbass passing people up right here.
Had I been driving right there and saw someone flying by passing people I would have gotten nervous as well. That still doesn't excuse the lady in the car that eventually went into oncoming traffic and caused the crash. She's still the person at fault here, and rightfully so.
But none of that happens if Kyren isn't driving like a fricking idiot right there. He might not have been the party at fault in the accident, but he is the main reason the accident happen, and with technology we have these days with cameras everywhere, we need to start holding idiots like that accountable for accidents like this. Just b/c you weren't involved in the actual accident physically doesn't mean you aren't the reason it happened.
and Matt Ory is and always has been a douche.

Anyone who sees someone driving like an a-hole around them would say the same thing whether it’s 100% accurate or not. Those witnesses only actually witnessed Lacy passing them, not the crash itself.
Is someone driving like an a-hole around these people not what caused the accident?

For the people still acting like Lacy didn’t cause the crash, how do you explain the fact that all of the witnesses on the scene were telling the state trooper right when he got there that a green charger caused all of this?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's b/c he fled the scene of an accident. Of course he's going to look like the bad guy. He wasn't there to defend himself. You even hear some made up b.s. from a witness about the gold truck "slamming on his brakes" when the driver of the gold truck admitted that was not the case.
I can see where the argument could be made that Lacy caused the chain of events that resulted in an accident. However, the facts are that the driver of vehicle behind the gold charger "caused" the fatal accident w her awful decision making. Like I mentioned earlier who veers into oncoming traffic like that? That's beyond me. When faced with a decision to veer into oncoming traffic or rear end car in front of me it's a no brainer.

Yall are unbelievable. The dude caused the accident. period. all of this wishcasting and defending this dude is a terrible look for LSU fans. This isnt Gainesville.
This has nothing to do with him be in an LSU player.
No one is saying he had no influence on the crash, but he is not directly responsible like some of you would like to believe.
If the driver of the gold truck had slammed his brakes and swerved into oncoming traffic? Sure. He did neither and even said didn’t really brake and apparently the data shows that.
She was speeding and driving distracted. This accident maybe even happens without Lacy there.
Also, the witnesses behind Lacy claiming he hit the other cars aren’t seeing it unfold fully. They are behind cars and have an obstructed view.
I don’t blame them for thinking Lacy had hit and run, because perhaps from their view point, they saw an accident happen in front of them and a guy that was just illegally passing them at high speed, going away from the scene.
Unfortunately, the LSP decided to be lazy and not actually do a real investigation and screwed the whole thing up. They got a narrative they wanted to be true and pushed it as 100% fact. They didn’t even take a minute to think, could these witnesses actually see what had happened fully.
In the end, two people are dead and it is a sad scenario. Too bad lazy or corrupt cops chose to not do their jobs fully.

He wasn’t behind them right? They were going northbound and Lacy was coming at them head on going southbound.

I agree that the tactics to get the statement from the gold truck were questionable at best. But that doesn’t change what we see in the full, wide-angle camera view and the immediate reactions of others who saw what took place.

Good job presenting the evidence that they have. The fact that his first phone call was to a defense attorney is pretty telling.

Except your argument falls through when the gold truck said he didn’t brake hard if at all and supposedly the data shows he didn’t.

Stop. that's not how traffic laws work. A driver that triggers a chain of events leading to a crash will ALWAYS be held liable. And the only reason you GAF is because he played football at LSU.
His attorney is not claiming he is "partially liable". He saying he is completely without blame and accusing the LSP and DAs office of corruption. Now we have the CBC getting involved and accusations of racism. I have to live in this community.

he said he didnt have to "lock up" his brakes. Luckily for him, there was a driveway for him to bail off into after initially veering right to avoid Lacy. This isnt disputed in ANY of the videos or testimony given.
