I'm sure these attorneys are doing this on a contingent basis and trying to affect a monetary settlement .

Ok.

They will be allowed to play assuming they get their own TRO and SEC will not be able to punish teams who play them under a TRO

OR

The sec will have to punish everyone equally playing players under TRO

What is hard to understand about that

The judge is saying they are eligible to play college football. The SEC is saying that they just can't play in our league without the university that chooses to play them having large consequences. I don't have a problem with that. In fact, if the playoff committee came out and said that whoever plays any player the NCAA doesn't want playing would be banned from the playoffs, then all of this wild west shite would dry up quick.

But Wendell's talent was in affecting favorable settlements for his clients. He hated going to court.

Exactly. What's the difference between these football players and the guy who was in the G league and was allowed to come back and play basketball for Alabama?

Bediako lost in court in no small part due to Sankey throwing all his weight and support behind the NCAA and then promising to do everything he could in the future to fight these exceptions being granted unevenly by local courts.

Sankey's SEC level attempt to specifically halt signings of G League/NFL players from an athletic department -- instead of local court level -- are really a continuation of his reaction to the Bediako case.

Tony Clayton is, by far, the best trial lawyer in Louisiana and up there with Wendell Gautier as maybe the best ever.

I don't give a frick if they do or not. But it is fricking stupid that these players and attorneys are trying to dictate how college football operates. frick them. NFL players don't have this much say.

Lane may not even make it back to Oxford to play Ole Miss. If he plays ex-NFL players against Clemson or Louisiana Tech the SEC will suspend him.

This is not happening. I'm all for what's going on right now because they're being selective on targeting LSU because of their competitive advantages. However, what this will do is paint LSU as a target throughout the entire season and you'll see the SEC refs hit LSU hard in games due to corruption from the SEC offices for them sticking it to them.

Then OM should be punished the same.

He will have to argue why some players are ineligible and some are SUPER INELIGIBLE. Specifically citing Huston and Chambliss.

And it will be very difficult to have a logic based argument on that.

Feelings and nostalgia are on Chambliss side compared to the younger guys due to them having participated in NfL activities but not logic.

Huston and Texas don’t even have that.

All sankey has there is he sucked too much to get as far as wright did so it’s different….for reasons

It's not about gets or gains. It's about players challenging the NCAA rules on their eligibility. Why? Because the NCAA has changed these rules many times based on, OTHER LAWSUITS in the recent past. Players want that extra year now that 5 for 5 is the rule. The NCAA just keeps losing because their rules have been indefensible and the courts concur.

The NCAA opened this door and now it can't shut it.

LSU isn’t suing anybody

The opposite should happen.

These players should name LSU in their suit and force the judge to specifically order LSU to ignore any external pressure or risk penalty.
