The thing about those is that they were specifically prompted to yell as loud as possible at a certain time to get a reading. Pretty sure that was the case at Husky and I'm like 99% sure that's what happened at Authentic.

The TS level was a legit in game reading.

I wonder if we can get confirmation on that?

No we don't.

Half of the stadium leaves at halftime.

Apparently that's the cool thing to do

*cough* Students *cough* could not leave at half would help. The booze will be there after the game.

The student section is easily the loudest in the stadium, and the sides clear out long before each endzone.

Tiger Stadium is really only loud once a year and only when we are winning that game.

I find Tiger Stadium to be loudest against the big boys like Bama when LSU is slightly behind and trying to get the lead. A hungry Tiger Stadium is the loudest.

On a regular game night, Tiger Stadium isn't near as loud as I'd say vanderbilt

While I agree not every game in tiger stadium is super loud, this is just stupid.

Anyone that believes Tiger Stadium is as loud as it use to be is either kidding themselves or hasn't been going to games for very long. I've been a season ticket holder since 1995. Capacity has increased yet the volume has decreased. The atmosphere has completely changed. More and more people seem to be attending games to be a part of the social scene. They are too busy taking selfies and trying to post on Facebook, to actually cheer and make some noise. That comment isn't being directed at women either. The last two games, I had two guys sitting a few rows in front of me. The only times they stood up were to take selfies with the field in the background.

Washingtn is loud in their upper deck. Been to Clemson and thought Florida was louder. Never been to Oregon nor Happy valley. These can be subjective based on where the reading took place. LSU for big games ie bama, ole piss, Florida and auburn night games-like a drum the whole game. It's sustained. Not for the rest of the games it has went to shite. And Wish we can get the more crowd noise during the day. I cannot recall the last time we had great crowd noise for a day game at home perhaps 2013 A&M game.

Who cares about decibels. We set off a richter scale.

Show me any other stadium in the world that has done that!

Husky Stadium needs an asterisk because of the big roof overhangs that reflect sound back into the stadium. I seem to remember them talking about this during the LSU-UW game. IRC, the overhangs were angled for maximum sound retention.
