That lists a WLB, a MLB, and a Star.

You said Star was weak side:

He’s lying like always Sam means strong side, you can look at our depth chart and see Star is weak side, and if he’d ever played or watched a sport in his life he’d know this

Star is differentiated from linebackers on the depth chart.

I get that.

The comment I was replying to insinuated that you could look at the depth chart and see that Star is replacing the weak side backer.

The official LSU depth chart doesn't differentiate between WLB, SLB, or MLB.

He could have done this last year with no backlash....
40 and 7 on the field at all times.....they are the playmakers!

You’re so dishonest and so stupid it’s incredible. There’s also a Jack LB you conveniently left out.

Jack also usually plays weak side.

You think we're consistently playing Jack, Will, and Star on the weak side?

Wrong, as usual your pattern holds, you make some ignorant statement then drag the thread out doing mental gymnastics to try and create some plausibility for it. You simply do not know what you’re talking about.

Much needed change, but hope our coaches aren't reading the Rant!

I trust the coaches but never felt the imperative to move him to the middle like we've tried a couple of times now.

But none of us make $10 million a year so we can't ever have an opinion that differs from Brian Kelly's or else it's wrong.
Or opinions that differ from the Rant Pump Lump Cheerleader MA clique.

Dope. I'm excited to see him at this new position. Think this will suit him much better.

Seem like we have the personnel at each level to make this effective. Will be interesting to see what we roll out there Saturday. Let's get after their arse & hit somebody like our NIL money depended on it!

I am interested to see if the move is for this game only due to Sellers not being a great passer.

It’s been pretty well documented by the local radio guys that Perks camp wants him at LB for the nfl reasons.

You would be correct but what is interesting about this is there have been Scouts that see him in a different role that would be better suited for him. Putting him into a hybrid linebacker/safety role could very well lead him to higher production at the next level. He has improved at the linebacker spot from where he was last year but he is still very prone to misfitting or misreading his gaps. Putting him inside theoretically is better suited for him if he picked it up.

Maybe NFL coaches will give that a try but I would wager they will put him in a similar hybrid role to keep him around the line of scrimmage causing chaos with him around the ball.

So nobody has provided any evidence of Perkins or his camp making those demands. Would be interesting if it were true but so far all we’ve had is people on the Rant saying this happened. In Kellys two press conferences where he announced the move all he said was the staff felt that’s where he projects at the next level. As far as his projection to the NFL all the sites I’ve seen have him as an OLB not a MLB/ILB and they also have him as a top 7 edge rusher.
