Just became highest paid assistant in college football.

2.5 million per

I'll gladly take these side effects for other teams. Less money for other assistants.

I’ve always wondered how great Steele would be at LSU

He is gonna have to earn it this year. He won’t have the monsters on the dline that he had last year.

Why was his defense so shitty with us? Don't get it.

He was DC for how long?

He runs complex schemes and wasn’t exactly given enough time to get settled. People made the same excuses for Aranda except gave him multiple years.

Steele probably would’ve been fine at LSU, but our fan base is only satisfied with big names.

Yet in 2015 LSU finished 37th in TOP & 47th in 2019.

Good for him. He’s a good coordinator and a really good guy.

Half our starters were out most of the year, we played higher octane offenses, and we got REALLY good towards the end of the year in 2019. 2015 was garbage throughout.

Thats a lot of excuses to ignore that Steele has spit out top tier defenses at Auburn once given enough time. It’s stupid to think he wasn’t capable of doing it at LSU where recruiting is MUCH easier.

Yeah you might want to put up our 2019 offensive stats versus 2015 offensive stats let's just say we had alot more room for error with our defense in 2019
