Looking at 2023 only, which QB gives us the best chance to win a NC?

I don’t want to hear about who might transfer, or who you personally like the best.

I think the answer is Daniels. Experience. Chance improve trust by working with his receivers all spring and summer.

JD, Nuss and Howard. One of those.

The guy that the coaches put under center.

Daniels, if he spends the offseason truly working hard and growing in his craft, could take a massive leap and be one of the best QBs in the nation

At this point you would have to assume JD but who knows how the spring and fall camps go. I think the coaches will play the best QB so I will defer to them. They see a lot more than we do.

We already know that will be Daniels. That’s why he recruited him to LSU. He didn’t recruit Nuss or Howard, the previous staff did.

he definitely needs to learn to throw the ball down field and quit being so inconsistent, he takes way too many sacks from holding the ball too long, I want to say he was one of the most hit QBs if not the most in the nation, that’s not a good stat..

He recruited Howard at ND before coming. He’s high in WH.

Run first QB will not win it all. Whoever can be pass first on this team, and do it consistently, stands the best chance of leading us.

Defenses adapt quickly by the time November play sets in.

He recruited the frick out of Howard. There were rumors of Walker flipping to ND when the Ed debacle was happening.

But if you look at this history of Tommy Rees, Everett Gholston, Malik Zaire, Brandon Wimbush and Ian Book combined with our recruiting of Rickie Collins and Colin Hurley it appears BK wants to win with a strong running game and defense.

I think his style is to minimize mistakes, shorten games and get to the W. He's never going to be the spread and sling it type. I think that's why Brennan was such a bad fit.

Maybe I'm wrong but for the past 10 years this is how he builds his teams and after multiple 80 yard passing games in the SEC he stuck with the running QB here. I think it's safe to say that's going to be the plan moving forward.

The answer is whoever can get the ball to the play makers. We have too much talent to not get them the ball and should be able to pass at will on just about any team if we block well for whoever is at QB.

The one BK picks.
And if BK picks him, we should all be humble enough to get behind his decision and pump some sunshine and positivity the QB’s way.

Purple colored glasses. I hope he is better. But at least be aware on your point of experience that JD5 has 13 games so far this year, three seasons in a pass happy power five conference.

The same guy that got us to the SEC Championship game in year 1 of a rebuild.

Maybe he was also influenced by the multiple 300 yard passing games in the SEC to mitigate those 80 yard passing games?
