Diggs' 6.2 YPC is 17th best in the country (minimum 50 carries). He also has seven receptions for 73 yards. Checks all the boxes for a three-down back with his ability as a runner, receiver, and blocker. Great to see him emerge from the RB by committee and cement himself as the true RB1. Perfect fit for this offense.

Man Daniels barely flinched when Diggs picked that up. That’s trust. He misses on the block and JD gets destroyed.

Part of Jayden's development as a downfield passer has been spurred by Diggs taking some pressure off him with the running game, along with his pass protection.

Still no clue why Emery or Jackson saw the field in the fourth quarter after we took the lead. We should have run Diggs a lot more.

Wish we had a back that was a consistent threat to take it to the house from anywhere on the field. But the point stands—why in the world don’t we put the ball in the hands of our best couple running backs for the bulk of the carries?

We really need Diggs to come back next season. Defense should return most, offense will be replacing a lot of production, keeping a stud RB would be very beneficial.

I'm glad to see Jackson get a few carries per game. But agree with you, it should be early and not in crucial stages late in the game. If Diggs needs a rest at that point, let Williams spell him.

IMO, Diggs would be a more impactful returning player than anybody else on this team.

Maybe BTJ, simply because we will have more returning experience at RB (pending transfer portal shenanigans). But it’s close. Diggs has been fantastic.

Diggs will be an important player coming back, but I'd say the starters on the Oline are the most important. Having guys like Campbell and Emery coming back as 3 year SEC starters along with Dellinger and Frazier is going to be the best in the nation. What a luxury to have all those guys then the likely starters next season in Heard and Chester.

I took it to mean the most important draft eligible player coming back.

Campbell and Emery aren’t eligible yet. Dellinger, Frazier, and Turner will all be eligible for the draft though.

Hard to argue with that. He has certainly separated himself from the rest.

He has been better than advertised. He came to a program with 8 scholarship RBs and is clearly the best all round back.

In this game, Emery was just as effective as Diggs. But I do understand what you're saying.

He looks like a natural pass catcher out of the backfield.

Wish we ran him back to back instead of rolling out on that 3rd down. We were dominating on the ground as well as the air.
