SIAP. Just saw this on social media so had to share it here. Very classy post from a program that literally gave us all they had. Kudos to Arkansas Little Rock.
Sorry I don't know how to embed a picture here so I made it a link above.

No doubt there were some self righteous LSU fans hoping for a loss so they can participate in that visiting team victory lap

What real class looks like, thanks for posting.

I'm the first to cast a stone about the stony brook shite but I hope we return this class in kind

In sports there's lots of talk about "little brother" teams, and while everyone hates on their own little brothers, it feels like Little Rock is someone else's little brother who is actually a pretty cool kid.
But you still never want to lose to him.

I could definitely see a midweek game or early season weekend series against them in the future as long as their HC remains there.

That right fielder definitely not gonna forget.
Almost started feeling bad for the boy.

This is one of those times that an opponents performance sticks with you. They were completely outmatched in every single way and they still gave LSU all they could handle, and more.
I have a ton of respect for those young men and their coaching staff. I will keep an eye on them in the future and hope they continue to compete in the tourney.

You can treat other teams with respect.
We aren't Tennessee where we are vying for universal hatred by everyone. I'm pretty sure Wake Forest was gonna clear the benches yesterday after so much s*** talk.
Whether we won or lost, leave the BS jeering to the student section.

This is what college sports is supposed to be about. Thanks for posting.

that's refreshing in this new era of college athletics
it's these moments that you hope don't get lost in the overall changing landscape of college athletics

I was even considering the aftermath of a loss last nite - and consoled myself with something like "These guys played their hearts and guts out - more power to them!!" is a description of my mindset.
Those guys played their asses off - hats off to them - and their response is all the more praiseworthy.
I hope we had a message to them that equally encapsulated that good sportsmanship.

It's a stark contrast to what happened at the Coastal Carolina regional. Apparently Florida/Sully went off on the stadium crew because of a delayed start time and the Coastal coach called him out without using his name in his presser after the game.

Coach Curry went out of his way to say we were respectful as a squad and never did anything directed at them or disrespectful. Good to hear.
Dudes all class.

Very classy, tough minded coach and team.

They also helped BR based Marucci Sports bat sales.

I'm glad they felt this way. I think their treatment from us was a reflection of their own behavior and team spirit. I'm glad the experience was a positive one other than the loss. They played like men and took the loss like men and true sportsmen. Good for them!

Would love to have them back for an early season non-conf few games, little far for mid-week game probably, but certainly wouldnt hurt to throw them on the schedule in the future (Well other than being Q4 probably
)
