I understand they are making a business decision. I have done the same. I have decided it is in my favor to stop spending $1000 per season ticket to watch maybe 2 or 3 good games a year, played by many entitled kids who care nothing for their team, school, or much less fans. I do not need a 19 year old to teach me proper social or political thinking. To each party: fans, players, and school. Do what is in your self-interest.

You are maybe the most shortsighted and forgetful little bitch I’ve ever seen.

You only saw 2-3 good games LAST SEASOn?

Ok you should definitely give up your tickets

Once again true. Do the math. Also yea there is no market for that Bc of the NCAA chattel system. There surely would be one if it was allowed.

Dude, the ncaa is not a cartel. Of the kids want to go pkay in a league and get payed, go create one, go join xfl or go to the Canadian football league. There options, just like playing in Europe for basketball.

Nobody is forced to go to an ncaa school.

So now u wanna take a sway gear Jesus Christ man. U at least get that in HS. Make me pay for a uniform too right?

No you don't really get anything close to what they get in high school and high schoolers aren't being asked to be paid.

This is what you idiots don't understand, that swag and the bowl game "gifts" etc all have a perceived value and are subject to tax.

Uniform is different you don't keep it until you leave. If they do get them before that....yes it has value and can be taxed.

You want free market, don't bitch about it.

You’re a user. And users hate to be used.

You think it’s ok to make business decisions, do what’s best for you, quit when you want, use LSU to promote you, train you, teach you.

But God forbid they use you. Then it’s slavery.

But the fact is that professional minor league sports are a money loser at every level, in every sport. People don’t care about it. A D1 scholarship with all the perks is worth way more than the XFL was paying, and 90 percent of the G-League.

College football exists because no one will pay a teenager to play it. Period.

And why won’t colleges just go ahead and pay them anyway?

Business decisions.

I didnt Say I would give up my tickets.

I said you should.

I think your feelings are soft and you’re short sighted. Also either you’re ungrateful, forgetful or stupid because last year was worth every penny.

Then you shite on him for making a business decision.

You really can’t see why some LSU fans/boosters would be less enthusiastic about supporting/donating to LSU football when the players show a halfass commitment to the team?

Funny you should bring up the Honey Badger in a thread discussing a player opting out of his Jr. year.

Seems to me TM missing his Jr. year did not hurt his success in the NFL.

Enjoy the next few games watching Stingley.

Your point is taken. I should not have responded to you like you did to me. Last year was great, as were the past 35 years I have had my tickets. What upsets me is I spent money on college games because it meant something, unlike the mercenary nature of the NFL. Its all good. Best wishes to you.

no, but it sure as hell hurt his draft stock, and in turn his rookie contract.

A) he didn’t opt out, he got kicked off the team

B) it 100% caused him to fall in the draft and lose money on his first contract

C)i haven’t seemed many in this thread saying the players will fail in the nfl if they quit on their team in college

D) and I mentioned TM because I find it admirable that he understands he made mistakes while here, and appreciates that Les Miles didn’t remove him from the team out of spite, but it was done for betterment of the team and to urge TM to make some personal changes. I think it’s awesome that he has kept his fondness of LSU and has given a boatload of money back to the team.

I’m surprised he didn’t opt out with marshal so he doesn’t get cooked by Smitty again like last season.

I knew Chase started a trend when he bailed out. The new norm is playing 2 years and sitting out a third year to prepare for the draft.

I’d be shocked in stingley plays a full season next year.
