Gymnastics - this is the year if LSU can hit all routines they can finally get over the hump, squad is healthy and it's time
Women's Golf- this senior laden team could get it done, you had players return for one more year when they could have turned pro, of course the conditions always impact the golf course more then anything

You guys are writing this baseball team off mighty early.
I wrote them off one year and they ripped of 20 something straight wins.

Our track teams do well individually but LSU hasn't had the depth to win track titles recently

We blew 2021 out of the water with the 2nd highest point total ever in a championship meet and our 4x4 didn't even score. Depth isn't necessarily the issue. We were going to win that meet as long as we had JuVaughn or Terrance Laird competìng. Both of them brought in 40.25 points combined (2.5 for Laird an his involvement in the 4x1). We had Rex throw a massive PR in Javelin, along with Squirrel throwing down an insane PR in the 400mh setting the World Junior Record at the time.

Yes, depth is needed, but it also takes a bit of luck to be able to have a lot of people perform at their best on the stage where it matters most. Being even 90% of what you're capable of when you perform at most sports is usually enough, but in T&F you need to be at your absolute best.

Softball? Ranked #7 with wins over Ok State and Texas? They have a shot.

I like your positivity but this team has issues on offense and pitching that tell most of us that it will not be turned around drastically enough to save this season.

That will get the Beth haters going. Yes we have a chance in Softball regardless of the naysayers.

And all their dismounts will be half or 1 rotation.

Gymnastics is so close. It’ll take a monumental effort to beat the monster that is OU. But OU showed this weekend that they are beatable.

OU's routines are so low risk that they rarely make a mistake and score lowly. That plus biased judging giving them the benefit of the doubt means they almost always win. Gymnastics judges decide before the meet who they want to win and score it that way. For LSU to win, OU will have two have two girls fall or step out of bounds on each event.

Maybe it's all those tumbleweeds that make the girls able to turn and flip so good.

Not quite sure I get your "joke," but if we're in a competition with "LSU" on some apparel against other schools with their school's name across their apparel, I vote we try to win and be the best at whatever that competition is, whether it's women's golf or goddamn tiddlywinks.

The joke is that we've fallen apart in the other major sports so now our signature athletic event is women's golf. Based on OP saying the only sports we have a shot in. Obviously meant in jest and LSU is still a football school.

I've said for 3 years now that this is our year. I never got too disappointed with the losses the past few years despite having great teams because I always felt we were a little too far off and OU was so dominant.

OU still is dominant but we are right there with them, just need a few things to go our way and some consistent scoring (which is usually too much to ask in college gymnastics) and we can win it.

Haleigh Bryant is 2019 Joe Burrow.

Me and Mrs. Iwy are going to try and go to the championship if they get past the great 8.
