It’s not that they’re losing games. It’s that there are no indications of things getting better anytime soon. I’m sure there will be some good wins to come as the schedule gets slightly easier, but they need to start showing improvement first before fans get excited again.

OU has mastered working the code to their favor. They put out the simplest routines with very little risk, which leaves very little room for deductions. At this point, doing any difficult routines is silly. LSU doesn’t get rewarded for the difficulty so idk why Clark & co. don’t play the game like everyone else.

I wrote them off one year and they ripped of 20 something straight wins.

cool. very edgy. props man. you must be proud.

BUT....comparing this baseball team to last year's baseball team when it comes to experience, talent, statistically, or going position by position. Is a fool's errand and completely irrelevant.

I think he’s actually comparing this team to the 2008 team that started 23-16 then went on to win 23 straight games.

Maybe it's all those tumbleweeds that make the girls able to turn and flip so good.

If this was meant to be a poke at attendance, LSU lead the nation in average attendance at 12,000 per.

They are playing the game this year. Currently only KJ and (I think) Amari are the only two floor routines with 3 passes. Pretty much everybody had a three pass routine last year. It just doesn't make sense to do three passes in college if your difficulty is high enough with two. You're just giving yourself more opportunities for deductions.

OU has also mastered the art of landing with their legs wide apart like they are in a squat position but not getting any deductions. That's what drives me crazy the most about how they are scored.

This season is a bit different with the amount of competition in the SEC. I don't think I've seen this many good teams in a college baseball conference. There are 4 teams that have a good shot at Omaha, and the difference between LSU and those teams is a pretty stark contrast.

I've been waiting for this moment. Last year when you gave up and said LSU wasn't making it out of a regional was exactly when we nearly didn't lose another game.

The joke is that we've fallen apart in the other major sports so now our signature athletic event is women's golf. Based on OP saying the only sports we have a shot in. Obviously meant in jest and LSU is still a football school.

There are only so many sports still playing this athletic year. Most have already completed their seasons

Softball dropped another series tonight. I don't see them getting out of a regional.

LSU 711. Exactly why I’m not a fan of sports that judges determine the winner.

Well the judges have to follow a formula. The scores are predetermined and they really only do deductions from that point on. The issue is when routines don't count blatant deductions from judges and the scores are inflated. There were a LOT of routines that OU had where there should've been bigger or actual deductions and judges ignored.

I'll never understand giving up this early in the season.

It's not just that they're losing, it's how; and it's when.

After getting swept by Arkansas in a tight series, LSU DESPERATELY needed some wins... and we get rolled at home by Southern. That's something we shouldn't see, even when we're down like we are right now. But they wanted it more than we did.

And then the Vandy series; game 1 was a blowout... no, it wasn't. It turned into an escape. Game 2 we had under control... then we blow it late. Game 3 was a chance at redemption and winning a big series... we get run-ruled AGAIN. Third series (out of 4), including both home series, that we get fricking destroyed when a win would give you the series.

This team is currently playing like they would rather be anywhere but on the field with something on the line. Early on when it isn't crunch time, sure, they look good. Homers and strikeouts everywhere. But a hint of pressure and they collapse. It's impressive, really, how badly they can perform. Runner on third and less than 2 outs, almost a gauranteed strikeout or popup. Only solid contact is an inning-ending double play. They seem to find the one thing you can't have happen, and do it. Routine ground balls become errors, which then score. Don't even throw to the plate when a guy is coming home. They just freeze up.

I don't see how you flip that, this late in the season. MLB with 160 games, you ride it out and hope to turn around. But it's too far gone for our schedule.
