“Imagine what Bianco could do at LSU with our resources vs what he has at Ole Miss”

LINK

LSU-$5,796,848
Vanderbilt University-$5,360,448
Texas Christian University-$5,107,221
University of Mississippi-$5,022,676
The University of Texas at Austin -$4,673,763

“Well he has less talent because he plays second fiddle to MSU in his own state l”

Yeah he still averages top 10 recruiting classes.

So Bianco currently has a top 5 budget with top 10 talent. The folks who pretend he’s under manned at ole miss are either lying or just don’t realize what he’s been given there, Mike has advantages over most of his peers in the industry, yet a fraction of the success.

Will LSU provide upgrades to him in both areas? Yes. Significant enough to suddenly vault him to elite status as a coach ? Nah.

It was one of his better seasons and one of our worst…and yet we both made it the same length in the postseason

Surprised that MSU isn’t Top 10.

Yes, I am so tired of this bullshite that Bianco is overachieving at a poor little school.

Ole Miss is an SEC power with a budget, facilities, and a fan base that rivals—and in some areas exceeds—LSU.

Bianco is 54. He is what he is and that is a coach that won’t win you championships. One trip to Omaha in 21 years.

He is not going to suddenly blossom at LSU. If we hire Bianco, then why the frick was Mainieri forced into retirement?

At this stage of his career, Bianco is a retread. No way he should sniff the LSU dugout, Skip wanting one of his boys notwithstanding.

They probably are now. That’s old data from an author-less article that cites their data from a website that isn’t even functioning

Skip liked his coaching prospects so much that he hired smoke over bianco in 2001

Honestly I’ll reserve my melt until something actually goes down, but I’ll say this: no fricking way Scott Woodward is looking at bianco’s resume and thinks “holy frick imagine what he could do at LSU”

Aka feels like a premature melt

They won a game in the SRs and we didn’t, They hosted a regional and we didn’t.
Ole Miss spent less, recruited worse and did better.

Now fior the record I am not a fan of Bianco, but your ststd help his case if you look at it from the opposite side.

He was one gigantic collapse away from being swept by this LSU team at home. One of LSU's worst teams and one of his best teams.

How did he do more? He got bounced one game later in much worse fashion.

I’m no Bianco fan boy, but:

Yet he still averages top 10 recruiting classes.

Is actually something that is impressive imho.

Don’t get me wrong, I do not want him as the HC, but you actually listed his best attribute imho.

No it really doesn’t . It’s not an argument as to whether or not he’d have better results here or could have done better than Pawl.

It’s an argument against the people that pretend being at Ole Miss is the reason for his lack of success.

I agree that he had every opportunity to get to Omaha multiple times.

But the spending numbers and the pseudo recruiting numbers prove very little. LSU’s latest records proves that.

It’s a tool to show that he has advantages over most of his competition but continually comes up short

I don’t think he’s a bad coach and am not pretending it would be some disaster hire that kills the program. I think he’d keep us about where we are currently, which is good enough for some I guess.
