Had the 18 offense been similar to 19 and not been "stone age" then JB's stats would've been way different.

2018 Alabama was the best away team that has ever stepped foot in Tiger Stadium in my life.

Burrow had the benefit of a BIG change with Joe Brady and his system, which was PERFECT for Burrow to succeed. It was literally lightening caught in a bottle. What's gonna change with Nuss/coaching staff to catch his own bolt of lightening???

I'll defer and compare Nuss' '25 to Burrow's '19

LOL
My god our fanbase. It is like the people who post on here are required to have an IQ of less than 90.

He needed the starting experience just like almost every good QB. Burrow did not have great accuracy his first year......I don't care what offense you put him in. The game slowed down for him year 2.

It is funny, Brady was great with Burrow...sucked in Carolina, but is great again with Josh Allen. hmmmm

You missed where Joe Burrow beat a top 5 Georgia. Interesting. Y

I see you didn't catch the OM game this year? Probably two of the best back to back passes I have seen in my long lifetime. The 4th down pass to tie the game was unreal.

You're making ZERO sense. Yes Burrow was way better in '19, but he would've NOT won the Heisman or the NC in Ensminger's system alone in '19. Burrow even said prior to the season that they were gonna average 40, 50, 60 points a game and not huddle or go under center and no LSU fan actually believed it. That's Joe Brady. Burrow would've done alot better in '19, but it still would've been the same tired system.

I see you omitted Joe’s win against #2 UGA. Nuss never had a win like that

UGA finished right inside the top 10. Lost SEC and sugar bowl. About the same as the ole Miss win

Pretty impressive comparison honestly, but 2018 LSU finished 10-3 ranked #6 with a NY6 Bowl win

Yea.

I think you could switch out the 2024 version of the Auburn come back with South Carolina. And use Ole Miss win as the 2024 version of UGA.

In 2018 Joe Burrow loses a hard fought game that felt in hand at points, on the road at A&M In 2024 Nuss loses a hard fought fame that felt in hand at points, on the road at A&M

LSU wins by 2 to 3 scores versus aTm if Gus’s doesn’t go interception crazy. The play calling was part of the problem, but ultimately, Gus’s pulled the trigger on those passes.

Passing will cancel out more or less. The difference is and apparently always he that Joe was a big running threat. Nuss is not. If he was LSU would be preseason number one

In 2019, Joe burrow led LSU into a true road game against a ranked opponent to kick off the greatest season in LSU history.
In 2025, Nuss leads LSU into Clemson........
a minor note:

2019 didn't OPEN at Texas. They opened at home the week before against Ga Southern, giving them a cupcake to work some kinks out.

This fwiw is the issue I have had with the openers. It's fine to play good teams, but not as an opener.

The INTs were horrible. No doubt. The question is, where else was LSU getting offense from? We had 24 yds rushing on 23 carries.

Defensively once A&M switched to Reed, we couldn't stop them. Aggie finished with 259 yds, 6.5 ypc and 5 TDs rushing, minus sack and kneel down yardage. Special teams couldn't complete a FG process either, which cost us valuable points early on. Then there was Hilton and the jumping issue which resulted in what should have been a TD pass to a FG attempt to a botched snap and hold.

It was one of those games that you completely dominate the 1st half and have a small lead and feel like you will lose because you didn't put the team away.
