Im very excited but dont we have to beat Bama? 8 straight is tough for me to really think we are back until that happens. Downvote away.

The only problem with this is he’s not one of the top 5 QBs in the country. He’s a serviceable, above average college QB, which is better than what we’ve had at different points

11-1, CFP.

If our loss is to Alabama, then how do people on here think we go to CFP?

Only way this would happen is if we 3 way tied Bama in the west and went to sec championship instead of them.

Only way 2 sec teams go is if one of them is Alabama and the other neat them or barely lost in the SEC championship game.

The committee will not give LSU a ticket to the CFP without winning the west, period.

11 and 1 and a good bowl win would be a fantastic season relative to our recent history, but it's not a playoff season unless we win the SEC with the 1 loss. We haven't been there and would not get the votes over champions from other conferences because we haven't consistently set ourselves apart like a Bama Clemson OU UGA

10-2 with a NY6 bowl...……… Exactly my prediction too, Peej. It's no knock on Coach O, but he's never not lost a game he shouldn't. Most coaches have that in common as well. It takes an amazing coach to not have even one letdown. I would love to be proven wrong, but even if we are correct that's still a damn good season.

10-2 with a NY6 would be improvement and “meets expectations,” but there’s no way I’d call it a “damn good season.” Not when we all know THIS team is capable of better. The only thing that would make 10-2 “exceeds expectations” is if it backdoors us into the CFP.

I personally am sticking with 11-1. I’m pretty excited about it, too, because I know the pieces are in place.

I won't say this will be biggest road game in long time, p&g.
It is our BIGGEST non-conference road game in a while though.
Remember, we play Bama every other year on the road and TAMU too!
Those 2 are ALWAYS BIG!

.... we'll still get steamrolled by Bama unless Joe Brady is truly a miracle worker.

Florida, Bama, and sadly now A&M are the 3 big tests.

Texas would certainly be a great start, but we could lose that one and still have a great year depending on how these 3 games go.

Until LSU can come up with an offense line we will win about 8 games. Borrow would be great with some blocking!

You guys get excited every year. It’s cute. Win a few games, get some momentum and then watch the wheels fall off in late October and November. Rinse and repeat every year. I’m not getting excited until we revamp the program.
