That was back when you could openly drink bourbon and scream profanities at the opposing team.

Now it's like Sunday school in there. Total bore when you can't even chant frick Auburn! Seriously, Death Valley is dead. I bet I could drink ALL of the liquor snuck into our section (242), on a given Saturday. That's just insane. I don't even know LSU football anymore.

I was grounded from going to that game my freshman year in HS because I had people at my mom's house drinking the weekend before when she was out of town. Did not think it was a bad punishment at all at the time. Little did I know it was the punishment that would haunt me for the rest of my life.

Seems to me we used to get tickets plus a round trip charter bus from Shreveport to BR for $25 in the mid 80's.

I was there, what is now section 421. I was 7 and my dad's friend bought me a poster with the score on it after the game. Unfortunately, that poster, my program, and ticket stub were lost in Katrina.

Was attending SLU at the time, but had a friend who was finishing up his undergrad at LSU. Got in using a student ticket from a friend of his; I remember it was kinda' nasty that night; a little breeze and a little drizzling here & there. I also had a fever.

Bum-rushed the field as soon as the clock hit 0:00 and made a beeline to the SW corner of the stadium to remind all the UF fans about how long the ride back to Florida was going to be.

A pretty glorious night in Death Valley & definitely the best game I've ever seen there in person.

I was delivering pizzas while in college. Was listening to the game on my car radio during my runs. Absolutely nothing special about that night and zero expectations. Everyone had written off the season after a HORRIBLE Vandy game (some of you only think fans get down on Les Miles teams).

I probably spent more time in my car that night than actually working. I held my breath the whole time because I just knew the LSU defense would break at some point. Herb Tyler was a true leader on the field.

An unbelievable game that I'm just glad I got to experience live.

Lived away at the time and this was my 1 game for the year.
Brought a co-worker with me who was a Florida alum for his first game in tiger stadium. Unbelievable intensity for the entire game. Felt like we had a role to play as fans during that one. that fla team was stacked.

My SO (fiancé at the time) was there. I was at my parents house watching in Columbia SC.

Was there. A Sr in high school. Sitting in Upper South with friends

A group of us snuck in stadium later that night when you could easily pull up the chain link gates. Got caught. The officer was cool as hell

Ditto on the grass, ticket stubs, and Sports Illustrated article. I also cut out some clips from the Morning Advocate and put in frame. It was my soon-to-be wife's first game in Tiger Stadium! We married in Houston, TX about a year later. Since then we try to go to 1 game a year. We got lucky this year and saw Ark. game and A&M. Still going strong. Only game I think I would have enjoyed better in person was Fla. vs LSU when Hester was the star - especially on 4th down. Geaux Tigers!

That is my friend JPinLondon who swiped the banner. I ended up having to run a little interference with those two guys with the banner. He posts here every now and then, but he is in Europe right now getting ready to fly back to the states tomorrow. I would give him a call if I could to get his synopsis.

Great night though!!
