O chased the big fish away, he told those recruits he didn't have enough spots for them when he did and then he flip flop to someone else and they already made up their minds on another college. If you got room, take that really good recruit don't turn them down at a position of need that's badly needed

If you have a bigger fish, that has lied to you and told you for 2 years he was solid to your program...then what? Surtains and saban fricked us intentionally. This is big business and they plan shite like this out in advance for a reason. He knew where he was going as soon as his father was interviewed for the Bama position. He lied to our staff, by order of saban, to hinder our pursuit of other cbs, like Eddie smith who he also wanted. Saban is a piece of shite and so are the Surtains. That's end of story. Move on. McDonald's does the same thing to burger king...etc. it's extremely competitive and some have higher ethics and morals than others. Bama is a cheating bunch of bastards, always have been. It's par for the course.

Why do posters always look at Les' tenure as an all or nothing deal? I'm just not believing anyone what says the first half of his run here wasn't exciting. There was plenty of excitement. Les took lots of chances back then and we ate it up.
I will admit that his last three years here were boring and I thought it was time to move on. I was done with Les when I walked out of Lambeau. But let's not pretend that was the case for the entire run.
The thing about this board is, from an editorial standpoint, coaches are either morons or geniuses...there seems to be nothing in between.

actually, Les really did nothing but win...he was the one that kept our program at a high enough level to keep me attending games for over a decade.

I am not high on O, but my concern is with bottom-line results....and he has done pretty damn good from a win-loss standpoint as well.

Most people on this site wanted Jimbo or Herman as coach. Both finished 7-6 the past season. What would the reaction be if either was LSU coach and had finished 7-6? Would these guys be " morons" like Orgeron, who won 9 games?

exactly. Also Fleck was like 4-6 at Minnisota or something like that. Don't know what Fedora did but it probably wasn't good.
Our fans are football tarded. Like Rickdiddy use to always post on here: "I hate our retarded and entitled fanbase". One of the few things I agree with him about.

I think reasonable people put more stock into a coach's entire body of work. Also, can you go somewhere and improve upon what's already there? That's the sign of a coach that can at least manage a program.
I know most that think Orgeron's good don't have an appreciation for body of work. How could you and still think he's any good, much less better than Jimbo or Herman? You have two years of interim wins to prop up his record and he's still under .500.
