Alleva hired Orgeron to help sustain continuity until LSU grows balls again. Boosters and LSU didn’t want to pay the Herman and Jimbo price with the overhead of Miles. LSU will go all in again once overhead is cut. It will be like this probably until 2020.
LSU will not be competing for national championships until after 2020.

Les’ last 3+ years he was 10-10 against the West. The offense was predictable and bland.

Sorry, but it WAS boring and the fun and energy was lacking. It was stale and time for a change. Nothing wrong with acknowledging that.

Sounds like for most of you LSU football started with Nick Saban. Let's totally disregard our entire history, including the part where Bear Bryant was dominating the sport for several decades. LSU has had peaks and valleys before only now the valleys aren't really that deep. You guys just insist on making it so.

Les was moron just like O is. The only difference is Les was the beneficiary of inheriting Saban players(only reason he won a fluke championship) along with having Jimbo on staff.

9-9 last 3 seasons, 10-10 last 20 games vs a much better SEC, yes.

Boring to you maybe, but better production than post Miles.
'15>'16, and except 2009 all Miles offenses > 2017 scoring.
The odds were extremely bad with hiring another elite coach to sustain a 10 win average over 11 years, and near impossible with hiring a failure.

I’m not sold on O at all! But I think it’s funny when people say worst recruiting class in 15 yrs. Miles brought in great star classes, but with no foundation (line depth and talent). Football is won with line play and I’m cool with the class. Im down on O missing out on the big fish on signing day, but we will see.

Miles brought in the odel Beckham’s to boost the stars, but had shite for positions that win football games.
