he's not even the 5 or 6th best receiver on the team... what does mett have to do with it?

Other than Landry and OBJ, who else is unarguably better than him? He looked pretty solid in the spring game and is poised for a solid year. He has underwhelmed thus far but that is on the coaches and JJ mostly.

i'm not a die hard so i can't cite the 3 deep depth chart but i'd be willing to bet just from a route running/ball catching perspective he's not in the top 4 or 5 overall... again, i'm not hating on the kid but as a semi-knowledgeable judge of talent he is nowhere near where the fanbase believes him to be from a skill/talent standpoint. he's obviously EXTREMELY athletic but that doesn't always make you unanimous first team all-american....

FWIW ... last year he said JJ was poised for "big things."

Does this mean that Shepard will get in a fight at Shady's?

Miles has always spoken about "what is to be" regarding our offensive potential but it doesn't materialize.

I can't think of another college football player's career that has been as squandered, as Russell Shepard's has.

I remember Shep being tossed to the ground like a sack of potatoes.
he is no runner.

He tries to shoe string balls, instead of going down and making the sure catch. If he would go down and make the sure catch, it would change the entire season, because LSU could move the chains.

He has a lot to learn. His incredible speed is the only reason he is even a point of discussion. Most of the WR's on the team can catch better than he can.

Geez. I wonder if other fans say their underachieving players would be great if they were at LSU? I truly don't know how we've managed to win so many games with buffoons as coaches who can't recognize talent when it's right under their noses.

Because as mediocre as Les is as a coach he can recruit his arse off and that is 85% of winning college football

I hate coaches that support their guys, and pump them up. We need a guy that couldnt give a shite about his players, and yells at them.

You negative POS, why would you admit you don't even know the name of the third wr? After that, and before, you refer to shep as if he is a wasted scholly.

You are a self-proclaimed half assed fan, so you say two things. you can't name another wr, yet shep is way behind this ghost.

If you weren't such an obvious troll, I might agree that step isn't a top wr on this team. I'll never drag him in the mud though. Fake mfer
