Lithium you are indeed an idiot what does Les have to do to prove he can coach. 13-1 is not enough? who else has beaten so many ranked teams in one season? SEC champions is not good enough? One national title not enough? Tell me Lithium the great what does he have to do?

Freak you are a fricking moron. He had a great chance to win a NC last year. He makes no adjustments in a game the offense wasn't doing anything. I guess he was just waiting for Tyrann Mathieu to have another superman performance. Im sure Saban didnt watch the UGA game and see what they did to hold the offense to ZERO first downs in the half. Lee or Mett or even Shepard won the game at QB? No one will ever know because he decided to run the same offense that he ran in November and the SECCG and everybody in the Building knew it wasn't working. That team had the chance to be in the conversation as the greatest team ever in College Football and Les screwed up. I hope he has the chance but doubt he ever does.

Ask him "Why didn't you switch QB's in the national championship game?" Wish I could make millions to make dumbass decisions like that AND still keep my job.

His TD catch from Mett was fricking awesome in the Spring Game. Faked the post on a nasty roast, ran to the corner, and caught it sliding away from the defender just before he was out of bounds.

That sounds more like an opinion yet you speak as if it's fact. Lots of players don't live up to the hype. He changed positions and I believe he will have a breakout year (since before this). But to say he'd be NFL ready at any other major school is strictly speaking out of your arse.... If he was the QB everyone thought he would be, then he'd be starting. By now.

Then the whole show is scripted and repeated at each stop, because that was the first thing that he brought up with Gordy in Lafayette too.

Did he tell the story about coming out of the tunnel and tripping over a Nebraska ERR Alabama cheerleader that got bumped by a player? Gordy looked at him like he was retarded. He should remember the team that just put a serious footnote in his coaching career.

4th best? Possibly. I hope so. He won't start at the 4th spot though.

Yeah CP3. Thank you for that link. We've had that guy on our roster all this time and it has rotted on the vine. It's sad really. I truly hope this Mettenberger kid is for real.

Pretty sure any coach that goes 13-1, and wins an SEC championship is earning his money and keeping his job.

Shep will have a break out year. By break out, i bet he will be in the top ten/twelve in the conference in receiving yards.

He simply needs game confidence -- which he started to show against Arky and did very much so in the spring game. Mett will give him the opportunities and I think russel will cash in on them a good bit of the time.

What value he brings more so now than ever is senior leadership and dedication to a program. With all the young talent around, it will do them good to see a 4 year man (who maybe hasn't had the LSU career everyone thought he would have.. idk ...tbd) show up and work his butt off every day in practice. I think if LSU is fortunate enough to get to the NC again and russel has a big game( 80 yards+ and a couple of TD catches) ... will his career be as big of a bust? I think not.... He will have two SEC championships and a national championship ring. Matt Flynn's type of career at LSU will resemble how Russel's ends ... in my humble opinion.

A humble hero from Texas who put the Team first always.

He's probably not an "idiot", but he does seem to be SEC/college football mentally challenged.

I'm thinking any coach who leads BCS schools in wins since 05, the SEC in wins since 05, has had his teams NR'ed at #1, #2, #3, #5, #8, and has 2 BCSCG teams in the last 5 years can coach college football and at a damn high level.

I often wonder what LSU coach or teams some followed before 2002 when they continually call out a HC and LSU teams/players who have aided us to the most elite period of football in our history.

Miles LSU teams hold the top 3 spots and 4/5 for all time rushing and passing TDs, with '11 team at #2.
The top 4 O's in LSU history, that's "what is to be"

The 2011 team at number 2 for what ?

All i see is 86th in total offense at 355 yards per game, which is ho-fricking-rrendous. Then the cherry on top being the National Championship game. An offensive display that was clearly one for the ages.....
