My son (2) went to his first game at Tiger Stadium this year, our daughter (7) went to her first game when she was 6. Had awesome experiences with both of them. It really is all about knowing your kids and what you want your experience to be. When I go with the kids I know I need to be ready to leave early, get snacks, go to the bathroom when needed. It means my “experience” of the game may be different than if I was on my own.

As far as the language etc. Yes I understand kids will hear it and I as a parent need to be ok with that. I also strategically pick seats where I expect there to be less foul language. I may be in the minority of LSU fans but I don’t think you need to cuss an entire game to enjoy it. If you are dropping F bombs the entire game in the row behind me I’m probably going to politely ask you to stop.

I love all of this. I can't count how many times I've experienced or seen someone politely asking someone else to try to watch the f bombs and both parties went on and enjoyed the game. I've been on both sides and it usually works out just fine.

My 3yr old and 9yr old go to every Saints game and are heavily involved. At all times. The 3yd old constantly asks to watch football on TV. But I think it really depends on the child. My oldest who is 12 now went to games when he was young but really had no interest, so he only goes when he asks.

My first went at 18 months. Low key cupcake game, and He loved it. Sat on my lap and was mesmerized. Left after half, and has gone to several games a year since.

Second, a girl, went to her first at 18 months, as well. She also loves it and has gone to a few since. Both of my kids happen to love the spectacle and the tigers. It’s not for all kids but mine have always been the “never scared” type. I’ve had friends who have done the same but their kids hated it. Depends on the kid.

Took my 11 month old to the Georgia southern game. Didn’t bother anyone, enjoyed seeing Mike.

The child should be old enough to behave and understand the consequences of failing to behave.

Then again, bad behavior is a reflection on the parents.

Good Lawd that's too young. People will hate you. The baby will HATE you.

Better off leaving her at home with Debbie Downs....

Brought my daughter to first game when she was 2 and they were basically handing out tickets. Made sure to bring a coloring book and a couple toys. Surprisingly she watched a good bit of the first quarter. Loved the pre-game of course. Made it to half. Thought that was pretty good at the time. She's gone to at least one game a season since. Always against an easier opponent. She's six now and actually knows enough to cheer when appropriate. Almost always makes it until the 4th quarter. But...may be too good at repeating what she hears.

So easy to spot people that don't have kids.

Kids aren't adults. They will not be perfectly behaved at all times. They're kids.

ETA: My daughter went to her first college game at 11 months. Had a blast. The videos of her cheering with the band then watching various spots in the game are priceless to me. Stayed till the end. Sure she won't remember it, but she absolutely enjoyed it and got something out of it. Been to several Saints games since then. Saturday will be her first LSU game at 3 years and change. She loves sporting events and isn't a bother to anyone.

He won’t remember it just like I don’t remember Tom Dempsey’s 63 yarder in Tulane stadium. It’s still cool to say I was there.

Took my little boy at 2 yrs old. Great to see the band and mike but he didn’t remember any of it (I don’t think). Took him to almost all of the cupcake games this year as a 3 yr old and he was interested in the game and had tons of questions. He remembers the games and asks to go back. All depends on the kid.

I think that’s a bit too young. I started bringing mine at 7 year’s old.
