Aside from that how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?

The context of this thread is about a 2nd year QB. And, I was pretty explicit about what I think about that.

You are wrong. The loss is on the entire team!

People have to stop throwing Burrow into these first year at LSU comparisons.

2018 was Burrow’s first year to start in college, and it was also his first year to get any meaningful snaps in a game. He barely saw the field at Ohio State and never when game still on the line.

This is Leavitt’s 3rd season as a starter including starting in the playoffs 2 seasons ago. Leavitt even had some snaps in 2 games during 2023 season at Michigan State that were basically still on the line at the time making him have more of those when he first started at Arizona State than Burrow had before his first start at LSU.

2022 was like JD’s 4th year as a starter (one was the shortened covid season).

Yes absolutely 100% correct but playing w/o a 2026 top 10 nfl wr pick Tyson and w/o nfl all pro wide receivers Chase Jefferson nabors and Thomas - but yeah that’s no excuse take the sack and also humble yourself which hopefully these two past losses have done to him.

Regardless of whatever all of that was throwing Burrow into these 1st season at LSU comparisons is a poor choice to compare to the other 2. Burrow was the only one with the excuse of never starting in college before and never really playing snaps with game on the line. Leavitt and JD were veterans with a lot of experience as starters when they started 1st game at LSU.

Leavitt has zero excuses at this point. The guy has more playoff experience than Kiffin.

Where is Leavitt predicted to go in the NFL draft if he were to declare?

Just need to bump his NIL up to $7.5M and he will be much better next year than the turnover machine he is currently.

maybe but Leavitt can pass as well or better at the same point. Leavitt is no slouch.

As well as or better? Leavitt is twice the passer Jayden was since the A&M game. Jayden was awful throwing the ball. Couldn’t throw deep and constantly under threw short passes and always behind the receivers. People forget how bad it was his first season. At one point I honestly thought I wouldn’t be able to trust him throwing the ball to my nephew in the backyard. He was that bad.

Not hardly, Burrow and Daniels also weren’t being paid over 4 million dollars

You can’t trust Leavitt not to turn the ball over twice a game at this point. And he also misses a lot of easy throws just like Jayden did his first year lmao.

Leavitt doesn’t have the vision to see the field that Burrow did, that’s obvious. He’s too quick to run or make a bad throw that ends in an interception. He leads the nation in turnovers. Kiffin needs need to do better evaluations before pissing away millions.

U telling us that a person getting paid 6 mil it’s okay for his sloppy play? Nah, I ain’t buying that BS! If I pay a man to install me a new septic system and I pay him 8 grand and he half arse does the job I ain’t gonna sit back and say well I’ll cut him some slack! Get out of here with that BS!

People need to stop with the 2018 Burrow comparisons. 2019 was as much, really more, the result of a new OC totally changing the offensive approach to allow Burrow and the other players to thrive.

2022 Daniels is a more apt comparison. Leavitt hasn't been perfect and the turnovers remain a problem, but he hasn't been the sole reason LSU is 4-2. LSU has two losses because in critical moments in the 4th quarter it hasn't delivered...on both sides of the ball. After fighting back to tie the game vs. Ole Miss LSU's defense could not get the critical stop to keep the game tied and give the ball back to the offense who was playing well. Then, the offense had a shot at the end of the game to tie and could not deliver. Vs. Kentucky, LSU put the game in the hands of its defense to close out a win and the defense couldn't do it...twice.

Ehhhh Leavitt is turning the ball over at the highest clip I can remember since J. Lee in 2008 lmfao. Now he is a lot more productive and they aren't pick sixes but still he is turning the ball over a lot.

Leavitt has thrown as many INTs in 5 games (8) as Daniels did in two full seasons (7 total, 3 & 4) and more than Joe did in either season (11 total, 5 & 6) at LSU. This is his biggest flaw, IMO. If anything derails him, it'll be that.
