Nope! Plays on the best team in a horrible conference. His pocket presence isn't close. I could go on, it's quite simple.

Orlovsky is just a fricking moron.

Burrow has thrown for 1600 more yards, 14 more TDs, and 2 fewer INTs than Lawrence against much stiffer competition.

How can anyone say Lawrence is better? It just defies logic, common sense and math.

Kraka seems to think winning last year should count for something this year, whether voters do consider previous years accomplishments is not the point.
The award is for what was done on the field this year only. What happened last year might influence voters, but it shouldn't. That's the way it is.

Well we need to set some fricking parameters for this then. Orlovsky can't make up his mind whether he's talking about overall or this year. Nor can most of the people in this thread. I myself, and talking overall. 2 years as a starter for clemson, 2 years as a starter for LSU. Joe was not that good last year, while Lawrence was. So to me it's a wash. Both are studs. One will win the heisman this year, one still has two more years left. That's scary for stat love

The scary thing is you don't know anything about the award. Again LAST YEAR DOESN'T COUNT FOR shite.

Orolovsky said Lawrence is playing better RIGHT NOW. So, why folks keep bringing up 2018 in this thread is a mystery to me. Right now, NO ONE is playing better than Joe Burrow.

If we're talking about how each translates to the pros, he might have a better argument. Can't argue with what Burrow has done this year though.

I’m not disputing that Trevor is a very good QB, especially considering his level of play as a true freshman. But...he is overhyped because of his age.

Take his coming out party, the championship game last year. His first few throws were bad misses. He had a few very good throws, but his WRs made him look good with some stellar catches. Just watch the YouTube video—tape don’t lie. All of Trevor’s Throws - YouTube video

Anyone can make any argument they please. But they’re wrong and it makes them look stupid.

mean, this is one guy's opinion. And not a very outlandish one at that

Come on now. If you want to say he's more physically talented, go for it.

But burrow is playing a completely historic level. There is not 1 single flaw in his game this year.

He has dominated the competition EVERY SINGLE GAME. There's never been a QB be thus consistent over the course of an entire season against this level of competition.

It's a ludicrous statement

Truthfully, the ONLY reason I actually knew who you were referring to is because of the outrageousness of what he said, and that’s why he said it in the first place. Otherwise, I’d still have no clue who this human was.

The argument for Lawrence is his measurables. He can do things Burrow can’t physically do. So can Tua. The argument for Burrow is his production. There is no question about who is the best college QB; it’s Burrow in a landslide. But if you’re picking an NFL QB you’d have to think long and hard (TWSS) about Lawrence.

He is just following the Skip Bayless formula for getting attention. Just ignore it or laugh at it like Spears did and move along. There is no sense in arguing bc that’s what he is looking for to get his name out there.

You can definitely argue Lawrence is the better NFL prospect but Burrow CLEARLY has had a much more impressive season against much better competition. Saying otherwise using intangible arguments like “he is proven” is just being a troll.

ETA: Burrow and Lawrence had a common opponent in TAMU

Lawrence- 24/35 268yd 1TD 1INT
Burrow - 23/32 352 3TDs 0INT *Didnt play much of 4th quarter bc it was a blowout

That’s why Lawrence is invited as heisman finalist and Joe is sitting at home..........evidently the rest of the nation has a different opinion.
