The only argument here is that Lawrence has won a natty. You can dissect numbers this year all you want. Yeah Burrow is having a better year this year an will win the Heisman and possibly a natty. If one of these guys is better than the other, it is a slim slim margin. I don't think you'd go wrong with either. People are just emotional about this because its LSU's QB involved.

For a very long time discussing which QB was “better” has not been exclusively about stats.

I love that he tried to throw beating ND, who shouldn't have been the fricking playoffs in the first place, as some type of feather in the cap.



But let's look at their numbers the past 2 years:


Lawrence: 6,452yds 64 TDs 12 INTs

Burrow: 7,609yds 64 TDs 11 INTs


But yeah Dan, Lawrence is clear cut because he beat up on a shite schedule 2 years in a row. He's a great QB but he's looked absolutely pedestrian at times this year. See UNC.
