His feelings were hurt. He started rolling his eyes when talking about schedules.

2018 is completely irrelevant. The debate is whether TL is better than JB PRESENTLY, not in 2018.

Well we need to set some fricking parameters for this then. Orlovsky can't make up his mind whether he's talking about overall or this year. Nor can most of the people in this thread. I myself, and talking overall. 2 years as a starter for clemson, 2 years as a starter for LSU. Joe was not that good last year, while Lawrence was. So to me it's a wash. Both are studs. One will win the heisman this year, one still has two more years left. That's scary for stat lovers.

the OP is giving Orlovsky exactly what he wants... CLICKS.

Talking heads need to generate interest in themselves, so some of them say outlandish stuff. Ignore them - they don't know anymore than you do, and often they know much less.

Lawrence is like 23-0 as a starter, with a National Title, the first true freshman to win it in over 30 years, 2 conference titles, was the #1 recruit in the country and projected to be the #1 draft pick when he's eligible. That's plenty of objective reality.

Looking only at stats and opponents played in the regular season has never been the basis for ranking QB's ever.

It is amazing how all these analyst get fixated on arm strength. Seriously, has any of these dudes watch Brady and Brees. They do not have great arm strength and are still pretty effective. It is about what is between the ears and this year Burrow has shown better in that area. Lawrence was doing stupid things with the football at the beginning of the year and was not penalized for it because he was playing nobody.

Truth be told I’d take either in a heartbeat!
Lawrence is a physical stud! I think this time next year- he will be putting up scary good numbers a la Burrow.
This year, for my money, I’m taking our guy over anybody else in the country

Yes when you add it up all together burrow is going to come out ahead because he's been so astronomically good this year.
I have been saying that Joe was not all that memorable last year, while Lawrence, a true freshman, was.

Joe Burrow 2018
CMP% - 57.8
Yds - 2894
TD - 16
INT - 5
RTG - 133.2

Trevor Lawrence 2018
CMP% - 65.2
Yds - 3280
TD - 30
INT - 4
RTG - 157.6

Lawrence statistically has done pretty much what he did last year with a little improvement in comp%. While Burrow has completely blown the lid off of what he did last year.

You can post all the stats you want for this year or both years.. Please explain the difference in competition between the two QB'S.... Burrow has played much better teams than Trevor has..........

Just an observation you have not brought up yet........

Burrow has lost to more P5 teams than Lawrence has.

There is no argument for that. And don't misunderstand me. I am not sitting here arguing that Lawrence is better. Or for that matter that Burrow is better. Both are ridiculous. One is just having a ridiculous year statistically. I really don't think there is really that much head to head as QB's that separate them. I think if you swap them on their respective teams, you probably get the same numbers.

This is possible, but its Burrows leadership skills that separate the two IMO...... I have zero problems with Lawrance.. he is a great QB.... And may have A better pro career than Burrow.......

There’s no way he actually believes the words he’s speaking. He’s just being a contrarian.

Dude get lost. You come on this board trying to down play Joe to make Lawerence look better. You have no credibility at all. Stats are not the whole story. Too many variables, like teams don't play the exact same schedules, matchups, and so on. Just get lost peon.
