This is actually kind of interesting.
The whole thing is so stupid it really does feel like there has to be some sort of ulterior motive.
Is all of this just to get Lane out of being on the sideline in Oxford?
I’ve actually had worries about his safety with those lunatics.
Maybe this is a way to give OM a win and keep Lane from getting assaulted or worse in two weeks.
Honestly if there is a two game suspension announced tomorrow I’ll sort of exhale and assume this was all cover for good intentions

Also VERY likely. But what is guaranteed is that Lane will become a martyr, not only to LSU fans but nationally, and this will quickly backfire on Sankey and be his first step out the door. He’ll never even be here for any supposed negotiations to pull the SEC away from the NCAA.

What would Lane get suspended for? For not rostering these “nfl” players? He didn’t play them. This is all loud threats. Sankey wanting attention since his wife probably gives it to another man.

The SEC has already used the word,” Pro Players” to describe the players LSU was seeking to join the roster. How in the world could the SEC sue Lane and LSU for repeating the language?

He won't get suspended. But lets say he did and they were referring to his joking comments jabbing about good we would be with them, then what happens when LSU sues back and throws in Tenn coach and his comments which in a court of law could be entertained as encouraging violence from his fan base towards our coach. I know he was joking just like Lane was but don't think they wouldn't go after that plus unleash all they know of other member institutions.

No, it would supposedly be for “recruiting” pro players to sue the SEC.

Nah. We have the courts on our side. LSU was added to the case as a protection. If the SEC suspends Lane, university Amin says "Nope. He's coaching." If our opponant has an issue with it, force them to forfeit because we're showing up. The SEC is asking for a BIG mess of a situation, when all they had to do was let things die after this past weekend.

I think this stems from Lanes comment to Holly Rowe about the score would be worse if we played pro players. They are butt hurt and ego driven by getting knocked down in courts.
They are trying to bully LSU and they have the power to do it. Lane does need to watch what he says about the SEC, refs, etc. Hopefully the keep these 2 players off the roster and just go play.

Even Sankey isn’t that dumb to look at LSU Saturday night and decide it’s within his best interest to ban LSU from a potential post season.

Lane won't get suspended. He did nothing wrong. Sankey needs to get fired, Kiffin needs to take a two week break from smart arse comments and I suspect the SEC will announce LSU can't host Game Day any more (if that is possible). This is not about Kiffin. The league leadership is pissed at everything that transpired Saturday, not just the "what if we had pros" comment.
