Interesting that he said on the FG series, the 3rd down call was to get a little closer but the plan was to go for it on 4th.

Have to give him a little time. Expecting miracles the first season is unreasonable. We are just getting started. Look at what happened to Texas A&M today with multiple seasons under their coach’s belt. Kiffin will get it figured out.

No y'all played yourselves for thinking this would be a quick turnaround. If some people were being realistic instead of being cocky and overconfident about how it was going to be. You had to revamp this roster mostly on offense with a QB that was out with a foot injury last year, had to have surgery, and get acclimated with a new offense and new teammates mostly in the fall because he was recooperating. There was always going to be issues with this team. Hell you could see it game 1 if some of you were truly being honest with yourselves but many of you were only looking at the scoreboard.
The defense disappointed me tonight due to Baker and his inability to do in-game adjustments and being stubborn trying make things work when they didn't. The offense was going to be an issue if they kept having slow starts when facing better opponents. They have to gel and get better. There was always going to be growing pains and the schedule doesn't help. Just gotta weather through it and see what kind of team this will be later in the year. But Baker and this defense needs to get their shite in order because that was zero excuse for that.

Maybe not but expecting to be in the conversation for an immediate national championship type run is magical thinking based on where Kelly left us and bringing in a large portal class in a season with a new head coach. Look at Oregon, look at Texas A&M today, Southern California struggled against Rutgers. The game has changed. Lane will figure it out given a little time.

Yep you're pretty much building a new team every year. If you're fortunate enough to keep several key pieces on your team, you still have to account for others you're replacing. You might get lucky and hit on guys like Mensah at Miami and be business as usual or struggle and have to work it out like Oregon. We're in the work it out stage. We'll see where we end up.

Softball questions. Nobody wanted to ask about the lack of downfield passing. It’s obvious they don’t trust his ability.

That’s a tough offense and a tough QB to shut down. I’m not going to disagree that I would’ve hoped for better, but saying there was no adjustments I think is off the mark

How could he pass downfield with the oline play? Leavitt may not be it, but the oline is better than last year, and that is not saying much, but only because they have better scheme calls.
