Lane Kiffin has a great offensive mind.

He has gone up against Baker’s defense before. How can he help Baker improve his scheme?
Do they huddle together and go over past games tgry faced each other? Does Lane tell him what he was doing to exploit Baker’s D? Or is it more about personnel and their weaknesses than scheme?
In short can Kiffin help Baker improve?

Kiffin is a football genius.
He could probably run a defense as good as his offense if he were cloned.

They probably don’t really talk much at all. I don’t think Kiffin tries to help his DC improve his defense.

In short, yes.
Even if for whatever reason Lane can't articulate in a meeting room setting x's an o's of what needs to change (although I'm pretty damn sure he can and will) you would have to think lining up across from a Kiffin/Weis offense every time they practice would improve the defense somewhat as opposed to Kelly/Sloan system.

Sure he can help point out different soft spots and ways people will try to attack. Although Bakers D held their own as good as anyone did with Ole Miss last year. Even with our pathetic offense they only scored 24 points

You would think Kiffin knows every flaw in Chambliss' game so Baker can plan on how to stop him.

If Baker wants to be the best he can be, you would think he would get with Kiffin and pick his brain about what Kiffin sees when facing each other.. And vice versa for Kiffin

Coaches talk about this kind of stuff all the time. If you call something that beats me in practice I’m going to 100% ask you what you saw to make you call that.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. If the defense is good, lane won’t have a scape goat for when they lose. It’s why he hired a drunk to run the D at his last stop…

Kiffin is going to trust Baker, but I do think for certain games he will be able to help Baker figure out more mobile qb's compared to when we had BK and Sloan.

Hey man that was sarcasm to point out how dumb this post is. Yes I think the head coach talks to the defensive coordinator on how the defense can be improved.

That would very sad if true.
Both can help each other since they have played against each other and could clearly tell the other how/where they tried to attack each other's offense and defense. Every coach has blind spots and this is a great opportunity for each to continue to be a better coach.

Learn to defend HUNH
Learn to better defend running QBs
Lane is the master at both of these
