Thats great but he needs to play where the coach needs him and understand the coaches may be a better judge of where he will fit best at the next level along with there is a very talented player there now.
He could have went to the bowl game and had the conversation after the game. Sitting out says a lot to me and is a huge turn off. Needs to buy into the TEAM concept quickly or hit the exit door.

Lance wants to be favorably compared to, or considered better than the starting left tackle, so he abandoned his teammates just before the bowl game and is sitting on his arse in Monroe.
Meanwhile , the LT who he wants to be compared to is with his teammates at the bowl game preparing to play as hard as he can.

I think you have to let him walk at this point. You can’t have players publicly using leverage to sit out games. It would set an awful precedent if you paid him now.

I think it is about ego. When he came to LSU he said he would be the left tackle, even though Will Campbell was already an all star at the position.

he told BK and Davis that he wanted to play LT. we don't know what they told him to get him here during recruiting. what we do know is they are not letting him play LT. when campbell went out of the game they put jones at LT. He wants to play LT and probably doesn't fully trust the coaches anymore. He can't fault the kid if he was adamant with BK and Davis during his recruitment about playing LT. Put him at 2nd string LT and see if he walks.

Charles wasn't really a lt. They just didn't have anyone else.
Campbell should start at lt in the pros. Maybe he gets moved eventually but he will get the opportunity.

We absolutely can and should blame him for being selfish instead of earning his position.

Jayden Daniels worked hard, listened to his coaches criticism, earned the respect of his teammates including his back-up and look where it took him.
