Maybe he should have studied the roster before he committed to a program.
There are a lot of rosters he could have joined out of high school where he didn't have to fight for his position. Nobody should feel sorry for his lack of heart or foresight

We’ve recruited really well here, we’ll be fine. Heard is getting some horrible advice, if he develops ok he’ll still have to answer at combine why he bailed on his teammates and demanded a starting LT gig over a sure top 5-10 pick.

Of all the positions on our team, oline can take the hit of losing a talented guy the best. Davis has been killing it not only on the recruiting trail but development also. It was always surprising to me he signed when we had 2 freshman starting tackles ahead of him. Not gonna wish the best of luck, but Ill wish him an injury free career.

College football players are some of the cockiest people you will meet. So it shouldn’t be surprising that he thinks he deserves the LT spot. He said when he signed that he was coming to take Campbells spot. We can all say that was a joke but he definitely had some truth in there.

Seemed like a major pain in the arse coming in a year behind Campbell but saying point blank that he wasn’t going to do anything other than play LT which was already locked down by Campbell who was better than him. Not a team guy at all

Just that much harder to stockpile talent now. Heard is going to be really good, but he wasn't going to beat out Will, and he wanted to play LT next year.

I would love to hear the full story on this situation. There have been a lot of coaches talking about tampering. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if other teams were make offers.
This combination of transfer portal and NIL needs to be sorted out asap. We cannot expect the NCAA to fix it. It would likely have to be a deal between the major conferences.
