I was skeptical early but didn’t notice a difference yesterday from a Jones to heard.

Next years o line likely will be the best in lsu history

Campbell
Dellinger
Frazier
Jones
Heard
All back next year. Plus DJ Chester a lock at center.

Seems unlikely that they all come back. Frazier and Dellinger can both declare if they choose. Would be awesome though.

Opening up holes for K. Jackson to truck people and go to the house. OFF next year has the potential to be very balanced and explosive.

I’m curious how draft eligible guys operate under Kelly. Under Les and Ed, Frazier and Dellinger would be 100% gone. Good test for if that changes. I don’t think either are lock top 3 round picks.

Auburn tried to get after him when he came in last night. His only liability seems to be some technique that leads to holding penalties. He's had a few of them but that should be easily corrected.

I expect if Jones can't get back by Alabama, their staff will have spent some prep time on bringing some advanced pressures off his side to see if they can beat Heard.

Maybe. Turner has a 6th year if he wants to stick around.

Yeah I'd like to bring back a veteran center to help break in a new QB.

He was late on a blitz last night that almost led to a sack. Daniels just threw it away

I've noticed Frazier has improved also. Not getting overun like beginning of the year.

Aside from the false starts, he did pretty darn well. He's a freshman, coming in cold in a big game. There were bound to be hiccups. But he kept that to a minimum. And after a mildly shaky start, he settled in very nicely.

It’ll be interesting for sure. I wouldn’t be surprised to see both leave but I also wouldn’t be surprised if they both stayed. My hope is that we can keep 1 of the 2 so that we aren’t replacing our entire interior OL next year (assuming Turner doesn’t come back for a 6th year).

If you can keep one of Dellinger/Frazier I would assume Jones slides to guard and Heard plays RT. If you lose both it’s probably Jones/Martinez at guard. Which wouldn’t be awful - Martinez has a ton of experience. But man this running game could be downright nasty next year if we can keep one or both of our guards.

Brian Kelly said in the postgame presser that they tried a verbal cadence but had to go back to nonverbal because the stadium was so loud even when we were on offense.

That may have been before Jones got hurt, but I just thought it was funny.

I took that as the unstated topic of the thread. Campbell has been a starter since day 1 but that was need as much as ability. There wasn't the same need to rush Heard onto the field but he's definitely emerging as a star.
