Yes, Faulk should be in that number, but honestly, so should Guice. Guice averaged 6.4 ypc for his career (even higher than Fournette) and is the only SEC RB in history to have three 250+ yard games. OJ is on the list, so we know character was not a consideration.

Tebow was great, but as a QB, should not be tops.

Najee Harris is Alabama’s version of Kevin Faulk. He has most of their records. There are others more worthy to bicker over

SEC RBs ranked on that list include:

85. Shaun Alexander, Alabama (1996-99)
77. Emmitt Smith, Florida (1987-89)
76. Najee Harris, Alabama (2017-20)
66. Errict Rhett, Florida (1989-93)
65. Nick Chubb, Georgia (2014-17)
53. Trent Richardson, Alabama (2009-11)
47. Mark Ingram, Alabama (2008-10)
39. Garrison Hearst, Georgia (1990-92)
35. Darren McFadden, Arkansas (2005-07)
33. Derrick Henry, Alabama (2013-15)

No Jamal Lewis? He was awesome at Tennessee and with the Ravens.

Faulk should be 2nd SEC back after Herschel. Period. Not only was he a great all purpose running back but he also picked up blitzes. That's why Tom Brady trusted him so much.

Kevin Faulk is top three (3) all time sec rushing yards and touchdowns. Hell, Dalton Hillard and Chuck Alexander are top ten (10) in sec rushing yards.

There is always an element of subjectivity and rose colored glasses to lists of this type and typically worthy recipients like Faulk get excluded in favor of lesser performers that are recalled more favorably by the media.

Faulk wasn’t super flashy, just a high performing, grinder that got it done at a high level game in/game out. In no way intended as critical, he was on middle of the pack to rebuilding LSU teams from the standpoint of record and contending for titles.

Harris had a great career and averaged 6 ypc (as much as Henry and more than Ingram and Richardson). If not for Harris in 2019, LSU would have blown Bama out of their own building. He got them back in it running and receiving.

Faulk should at least be in the Top 40. Fournette should at least be in the Top 60. Hilliard and Alexander should be in the Top 75. Guice and Cannon should be in the Top 100.

You are thinking of his pro days as an all ‘rounder role player, which he was very good at.

In college he was very flashy. All eyes on 3 came from that. He had juke moves that I’ve never seen since.

Bo Jackson at 8 is ridiculous. Bo is 1 IMO.

Fournette at 75... Fournette is better than most of the top 10.

Mark Ingram at 47 is laughable.

bullshite. Most overhyped player in lsu football history. It's like you all just forgot he played after lsu.

He had Bo Jackson/Herschel Walker level skills and talent

No he didn't. He ran great against 3 scrubs and auburn. CC shouldn't be mentioned in the same book as Bo and HW let alone the same sentence.

Then you had Matt Jones that could run like a gazelle if he faked a handoff. Jones would have been even better running a modern read-option offense.

Jamal Lewis and Travis Henry are a very underrated duo for Tennessee in late 90’s.

Here is the full list of SEC running backs with more career yards and a higher yards per carry than Nick Chubb:

Kevin Faulk had 1 100 yard game against a top 25 school and that was #25 Mississippi st who promptly fell back out of the rankings the next week.
