We keep moving the goalposts ?

Shite

Year 5 and 6 for a title competing program?

Kirby, Miles, Saban, Deboaer, Orgeron, Stoops, Urban, Day did it in less or equal time

In other words: it'll cost us $40 million for BK to maybe hopefully have LSU in championship form. Got it. What can we expect to get for the extra $50-ish million he's due after 2026? Eight more Heismans and six more natty's?

We should expect to win championships this year and next year or find an HC who does.

If you can't look at what Kirby did and compare to BK and realize we are nowhere close in year 3, that's on you.

Nah. It’s on you for not even waiting until year 3 is over to make a judgement. Will you still say all this same stuff if we win out and make the playoffs this season?

Also, look at how we’re recruiting. We are KILLING it. A wonderful foundation is currently being made.

Furthermore, being a first-time head coach does not excuse anything or change any results. It took Kirby 6 years to build his program and win a championship. That is a fact, and it does not matter why. NO EXCUSES

I would also say that he took over a UGA program that was in WAY better shape than the LSU program that Brian Kelly took over in 2022. That part is more my opinion than a fact, but I think it’s still important to point out.

Let’s see it first before making this claim . It’s not a huge feat now to make the cfp but let’s see if we can get to that first . Also people keep mentioning Underwood being the one to take us there . If he is that great there’s a great chance he could end up elsewhere, ask yourself , who thinks Underwood can come in and play at a championship level immediately ? Odds are he can’t until a couple of years .

Kelly will have to learn how to beat good teams consistently before we can talk about championships. His record of 3-6 vs the top 25 is the worst start for any LSU coach since Hallman.

So a top 12 reg season finish? Is that the bar now? We could have kept Ed O and had a shot at this most years.

If he does it in 2025, can we call it Project 2025?

5 or 6 wins a year would not get us into the top 12. Sorry

Every year ALL of our studs leave for the NFL. Nuss will be no different. Then we continue the trend of hoping someone plays up to their potential, which never happens, ie Harold Perkins. Nope, I honestly believe that we are as good and as bad as we will ever be under BK. Perennial #15 ranked

He's in his third year and his defense is still pretty bad. He's decent coach, but he just does not seem to be able to fix the defense. I've said it before, but he is the perpetual 9-3 coach. That's his ceiling....every year.

It would not be beyond reason that the coaching staff was pretty solid, the recruiting classes were filled with today's top players, and outside of JD, the returning players were instrumental in the 2022 run, that the team had all the components to make it back to the top of CFB.

Scott needed to have a talk with O about his public life and his expectations as an AD. Instead, he cans O, then drops $100MM to be mid.

The only warranted criticism is the hiring of House which set the defense back 2 years but on the right path now.

House was a problem but not THE problem Imo.

The bigger problem were the assistants around house. Cooks has been bad every where he’s been. Steeples had zero experience coaching high level college football. We just didn’t have a dline coach for a year. Jancek has never impressed anyone anywhere.

I like Kelly I think he’ll win a ring here but he totally fricked up hiring his first defensive staff. All across the board was just bad.

I'm highly skeptical of CBK now. And I liked Orgeron. But .... he was off his meds, man. A "talk with O about his public life" wasn't gonna bring him back to the real world.

Get serious.

Just saying. 2022 and 2023 LSU would've gone 11-1 or 12-0 with UGAs 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022 (lose to Tenn), and 2023 (lose to ole miss) schedules.

UGA has had some insanely easy schedules in the SEC West.

Their only hard schedule was 2020 when they had to play Nick Sabans best Bama team ever.

The team is improving every week. But there’s a talent gap to top teams in SEC

Lsu has kind of bridged that talent gap, the problem now is our talent on defense is all true freshman and sophomores. Our offensive talent is as elite as anyone in the country.

shite, for all we know they had that talk. The smile on O's face and asking which door to leave out of tells me he did exactly what most guys joke about at work when we say "if they gave me a couple million of the money they wasted, they'd never see me again, and the next guys says it wouldn't take that much for me." O was the next guy

We’re almost there already. Baker is a good DC and is already making a big impact. If they keep plugging away this season they could sneak into the CFP. Then next season if Nuss along with others like Perk returns they are very much a full on national title contender.

Bama is the main threat in our schedule this season and next. Ole Miss is already falling apart and won’t be shite next season. I’d watch Oklahoma though. If they figure their Offense out they’ll be right there with LSU. They’re basically the same as us but inverse with O and D.

wtf are you talking about? Do you not remember the direction O was heading with LSU? If he comes back in 22 and LSU goes 5-7, we’re set back even further. Every down season sets you back at least 3 seasons going forward. Look at Florida.

Name one fricking coach who would be doing a better job than Kelly. Riley? Nope. Kiffin? Nope. Aranda? LOL NO. I’ll wait on the mythical savior that brings LSU back to 2019 glory.
