Hope that kid recovers quickly and has a great season.

Not too proud to accept the temporary injury on the young man.

Except for a couple of explosive plays and bad defense, he was nothing special.

I think Ashford is much more challenging. He was making pretty good throws and is much faster than Sellers. That said, we were shutting Sellers down in the back half of the 2nd quarter. Sellers is really not very good.

Also, Sellers TD run was aided by a badly missed no hold call.

He was special enough that we don’t have a prayer of making that come back.

Ashford was such a limiting factor for them.

I texted this to a couple of friends right after the game.

Ashford threw 4 total passes?

Sellers had two turnovers and a couple others that could’ve been turn overs if the corners turned for the ball. Not sure how this logic makes sense

There is no way to know this. But Sellers’ stats were very mediocre. He had a couple big plays due to bad defense.

Sellers was 9-16 passing for 113 yards. They were 3-12 on 3rd down. Their success rate was 26 percent.

All they had were explosive plays and nothing else. Feast or famine. By all objective measures their offense was horrible except when LSU helped them with shitty defense.

INB4 Ashford is the better QB anyway and USCe was the lucky one that their starting QB got hurt.

Ooops, too late, it started already.

What you mean to say is that except for two bad decisions (the fumble and the interception), he rolled over LSU.

The fumble drive was the only negative drive he had. His other 5 drives averaged 9 yards per play.

South Carolina scored 24 points in the half that he played and 9 points in the half that he didn’t play. There’s your logic

South Carolina did not punt in the first half with Sellers. We would’ve been in huge trouble had he not gotten hurt. The defense would’ve gotten some stops, but probably not enough for our comeback to happen.

I meant to say what I said.

Even with Sellers and a horrible first half LSU was down 8 and getting the ball.

The idea that LSU won only because Sellers got hurt isn’t rooted in any facts.

It was a crazy game with lots of variables.

But this season will show that Sellers isn’t actually very good. He’s a nice athlete that can’t really throw. He’s a homeless man’s Jalen Milroe.

Lol. “If you take away all of LSU’s bad plays, they actually played ok”

We all know South Carolina’s offense is awful. That’s why giving up 33 points is a major concern.

And when he went out we were trailing by 8. One score game. He got injured on a sack— the comeback was starting.
