The college players could just unionize and demand collective bargaining for everything. The NCAA will be done.

I dont care which way it goes I just want it enforced equally. If "going pro" is the line rhen the draft is that moment and every other player in the conference should be ineligible. All or none. Not some weird some idea.

Admins say that discussing the topic of the thread with a perspective that actually considers what comes next legally and realistically is derailing the thread, so I guess I can’t answer any of you that comments on my last post.

RA’d. That sounds pretty mocking admin-y to me

The SEC shouldn't be able to enforce a rule they modified after a tro was granted, regardless of which school the player wants to go to. They're trying to make this about LSU when it's about the players. It's maddening

All of this.

Says Clayton jefferies is so fun to watch because he tries to create every advantage, but this is an advantage that we can't allow. We can't allow certain schools to accept former pros when other schools can't. We can't allow schools to scout training camps and recruit guys as soon as they're cut. That's not a fair advantage for all 16 members of the conference

But no one's disputing that people are asking if it's okay if these players who didn't know that they didn't have to go try out for NFL can come back that's the question here that's the honest question the question isn't this isn't some every year thing moving forward so again they're changing the frame and they're misrepresenting the situation

Did they not mention why the sec is ignoring other schools like Texas having players coming back? If declaring to go pro is what ends your career then great but other schools it’s ok?

That is what needs to happen to get college football on track. The players have zero reason to do it though bc they hold all of the power right now. Sitting at the table and bargaining would allow the NCAA some power and the players would lose the ability to run to court everytime something doesn't go their way.

So since Plaintiffs attorney asked to include LSU so if ruled, they can play. Clearly LSU ok'd him to do that and they do plan of telling the SEC to kiss their arse.

LSU isn’t a party.

(Also not going to pretend that LSU has no part in this situation though because I’m not very stupid)

Why would LSU need attorneys in the court room?

The college basketball frenzy this is going to create is going to be unreal IMHO. Can you imagine professional basketball players entering into school this fall so they can be eligible for the NCAA tournament in the Spring?
