Possibly, but I will still go with 9-3. This is a talented team, but a new OL and un-proven defense will be the reasons. If both of these prove to be as good as advertised, then 10-2 is a real possibility. We will know a lot more come late Saturday evening.

I listen to Pate a good bit, and he's really high on Florida and Oklahoma, so not surprised by this at all. He tends to hone in on a couple teams and give himself a bit of tunnel vision. I still enjoy his show anyway

I listened to his show this morning. His reasoning is that he doesn’t fully trust our run game and o-line. We also have a very difficult schedule early in the season, so the o-line doesn’t have time to gel.
He’s said he loves our defense and thinks we might have the best defensive staff in the country and Austin Thomas is probably the best “GM” in the country.
He also thinks if we beat Clemson and the o-line/run game look ok we’re immediately a national title contender.
His overall assessment of the team has seemed perfectly reasonable to me every time I listen.

I don’t even listen to his show but I swear that dude glazed LSU the entire time until he moved to On3. Then suddenly Alabama came into the fold.
I would think he just makes the rounds saying provocative takes to get clicks. But hey maybe our OL doesn’t see the light?

His stats vs P4 opponents are abysmal lol. He is not better then Nuss, lagway, sellers or arch. This is exactly what I mean by his preseason takes are outlandish

I think if it happens, you see them pursue the highest end dual thread QB they can with 2 or more years left of eligibility.
You see a moderate spending year otherwise, and then a large large large spending year the next year.
Then after that you're getting in to one year left before a buyout becomes real talk.
