He’s struggling, but he’s also been incredibly unlucky. Fully expect him to do something big at the plate tonight.

This guy plays 00 on roulette.
Thompson could come through but the fella is 0-17 or something & not like he is a top bat working through a slump.
He gets way more shite than he deserves here & is a good ball player, but you’d be setting yourself up for disappointment if this is where you’re hanging the hat.

They have thrown him a first pitch fastball for a strike most at bats. They’re not worried about you, hit the first fastball.

i doubt it. he has a terrible approach at the plate. he tries to pull everything and they just throw him sliders away. sure every now and then the pitchers miss and throw a hittable pitch...that he usually doesn't swing at 
but WF should know how to pitch to him.

I hope so just for him. Feel like the struggle is affecting everything he does. He’s good player. Just his sake I want him to get cranking. His average last night was mid .250. With all the struggle where he was and where he is now, kid can hit.

when you're struggling the ball will find you or you'll find yourself at the plate in a big spot... that's baseball, actually.

I agree with the OP. Everyone is shitting on him, but he has tatto'd a few balls that were just foul. He will get one fair tonight, hopefully with some runners in scoring position.
