Never going to happen. This is the case in every contract for every coach in every state as far as I am aware. I do not believe that any agent would agree otherwise.
However, maybe we can be a trailblazer

So you want the State Legislature to to pass a bill that severs any and all connections between LSU Athletics and Louisiana State University?

This pretty much sums it up.

BK was the highest paid employee of the State. He was not paid individually by TAF, part of his contract is paid by LSU. That is why the BOS has to approve it.

But this board still faults the governor for talking about the taxpayer burden.
This board cannot choose. They keep saying the governor needs to stay out of it because the taxpayers are really not on the hook. If that’s the case, take the verbiage out of the contract for the tax payer being on the hook. If you do that, the governor will never talk about the taxpayer burden again. This board can’t have it two ways. It’s gotta pick one.

If the red flag flies it would be to the fact that a lawyer by the name of John Carmouche is one of the ones leading this thing!
He literally made his money suing the lifeline of the state (Oil Companies) by making false promises to local govts on big paydays when the cases are drug along for years and his paid hours just increase!

The onus has to fall on someone. The LA taxpayers are literally the last parachute.
It’s standard contract language to ensure the coach gets paid their guaranteed money no matter what. No coach is signing a contract without it.

The entire point is that Landry keeps banging the drum of "the taxpayer was on the hook if donors didn't step in!" As people here have pointed out, the only way to prevent that as a (nearly impossible) reality is to entirely separate the athletic department from the university. That's why everyone's saying Landry is just muddying the waters and causing problems. It's not a problem that exists.
This is all correct. He's solving a problem that only exists on paper. It's never happened for a reason. It didn't happen this time for the same reason.
And, despite what I or any wishes was the case, he harmed LSU tremendously in the process.

List the Politicians who don't.
The list will be very short.

In a roundabout way taxpayers will be on the hook. Most likely for the portion of the buyout the TAF comes up with will be recouped by increased ticket prices, food, parking and merchandise. In a collateral damage sense.

If contracts are made through the Board of Supervisors, wouldn't that make it through the state of Louisiana. If that is true, then the taxpayers would be on the hook for payment. Or does TAF pay contract?

That's not even close to the same thing.

Landry is technically right
It's also technically right to say that the taxpayers are on the hook and have been on the hook for keeping ULL's athletic department above water, but that dumbfrick coonass can't be bothered for that.
