Now they are talking about how they are Les Miles fans and want to make a trip to BR this Fall

Anybody have a link to the interview?

I think the best comparison was Rusillo's... When he was talking about the option plays that sucked and compared it to SVP tossing it to Ryen for a comment 5 seconds from break... There is literally nothing you can do with that other than nod your head and say "Yep"
Same thing with those options, on his pitches the RBs had no where to go.

This is why the SVP show is pretty much the only show I listen to on ESPN. I rarely disagree with anything they say

Pretty fair assessment.

Guys I'm in Middelton and have to listen to this. Link?

I love how they were describing how LSU was on the brink of finishing the greatest season in CFB history but..........they had JJ at QB.

I hate that we're talking about it but I can't say I disagree. The only part they should've maybe touched upon is accountability for playing JJ.

Im not happy, wish he would just shut up actually
I don't like "ripping" any Tiger but I cannot agree with anything JJ has said in the last week or two

Sorry but after the bar incident and how the BCSNC wasn't his fault I just
and am very thankful he is gone

Does SVP hate black mobile quarterbacks?

The only ray of sunshine as the clock ticked down on January 9. Bring on Mett!

I think it's fair to say that CLM was pretty much faced with a no win situation vs Alabama...one QB who obviously spent not enough time studying the game plan (whether or not it was good enough), or another QB who had a meltdown vs Bama in the first game.
More and more I'm coming around to agreeing that going with JJ, and HOPING that he finally learns how to execute a play, was better than risking a pick six with JL.
Looking at the game over again a while ago, I learned that it was a failure to execute that led to our loss. We were only down by a few pts, despite totally inept execution.
simply put, you can have a very vanilla game plan, but if you execute it to perfection, then you can win. That was Bama's offensive game plan and it worked fine for them.
So we finally got the answer from SVP and Rusillo that everyone WANTED to say. They took the monkey off of CLM's back for this game for most of the blame.
This gives me so much optimism for next year under Mett.
As for JJ, words cannot describe what is he thinking, but if he can bizarrely figure out how to deep six his NFL career in an interview, then he surely can figure out a way to mess up the execution in the BCSNCG.

Amen. I think 90% of LSU fans feel this way (i'm sure there are 10% somewhere that side with him still)

SVP just hammered JJ..."he ought to look in the mirror" in regards to who's at fault with the performance of LSU, as it pertains to JJ's criticism of the game plan...
JJ, you just shot yourself in the foot with the coaches, the fans, the national media, and probably every NFL GM who is now saying
"I'm not touching this guy"
this is the dumbest part
people want a QB who is accountable and takes responsibility even when it wasn't necessarily his fault
he is a marginal NFL prospect who probably has hopes of catching on somewhere. right now he should only be saying things that sound positive instead of opening himself up to criticism or making NFL GMs/coaches decide not to take a chance on him
