We will never, EVER know if JL would have made a difference. Your son certainly left his mark on the game, and the sad thing is, he still doesn't seem to realize it was a stain not a gem.

I wonder if SVP saw the first game against Alabama. Did he make the same comment about Lee's play in that game? He really shouldn't be saying that kind of thing to any college football player.

Lee had two bad plays. Jefferson was solid in situational play for the first Bama game. The change in starters should not have been made based on that game. We were a machine with a Lee led offense.
SVP called out JJ because, like always, JJ whines and blames others. Lee NEVER did that.
Further, maybe Lee could have worked through rough spots but Les wouldn't give him the opportunity. However he consistently let JJ attempt to work through rough spots DURING HS ENTIRE frickING CAREER!
The change was made to appease the team and because Les didn't trust Lee as he was more concerned with avoiding turnovers than he was concerned about offensive production. It's like a CEO trying to create profit by focusing more on expenses than revenue. FAIL!

Don't let JJ back on the team, keep Lee as the starter and let Mett get some quality snaps as the backup and LSU wins 28 straight over this year and next. Don't point to the Bama game and say we couldn't have won with Lee - don't let JJ back on the team and Lee continues to improve and we win at Bama.

Jesus Christ there are some absolute e-morons on this board......

The thing is, Jefferson isn't a college football player anymore. He's an aspiring professional player who is able to chose the interviews he gives, the questions he answers, and how he answers them.

I agree with The Boat, JJ was well over his head. Always blames every body else, guess he does not own a mirror!

So from '05 - '08 Miles did nothing with the offense

no he did not, that was all Jimbo...when he got involved with Crowton it turned...he needs to step back...

you guys are absolutely clueless. Either he's involved or he's not. you can't just pick and choose the games and years to fit your argument. it makes you look stupid. I would explain to y'all the real reason why the offense has been poor the last few years but i don't think y'all understand football at all so im not going to waste my time.

also...Crowton got here in '07 so doubt '07 & '08 were "all Jimbo"

all in all, JJ and Lee are good kids, and I can't see why some so called LSU fans seem to go out of there way to denigrate any one of them

Who knows how much control Les has exercised over the offense through his time. IMO, I don't think he exercised that much while Jimbo was here (our O changed little from when Saban was HC).

In '07 and '08, I think he relegated it all to Crowton. After '08 and since, I think Les has exercised much more control than before. He just didn't like how out of control things got in '08.

Again, who knows. Just another opinion.

He meddled enough with Jimbo to blow the '06 Auburn game.
I also understand he overrode Jimbo in the 05 Vol debacle

Not saying JJ is a "bad" kid but he frequently came off as a petulant, entitled brat. He sucked as college QB more often than not.

I don't see why some LSU fans go out of there way to say he sucked, but would never say that about Lee even though he was just as bad a college QB if not worse. Why not just say LSU 's QB situation has not been good the last few years and leave it at that instead of saying words like 'he sucked'

You constantly tell us how JL was a bad QB, but have you ever said how JJ was as a QB? Do you say it equally? Oh, that's right, he's the next Tebow.

BTW, I think that most people back JL because he clearly shows 1,000 times the humility that JJ shows, whether that is perception or reality.

That and JJ was never a good running QB, and unfortunately that was how he was highlighted. He should have competed as a pro style vs JLee, and he would have lost hands down, but perhaps he could have developed. There was a reason why he wasn't used as a running QB in high school, and it wasn't because those coaches didn't see his physical skills.
