I agree. JJ is gone. Les isn't.

Both DP and JJ suggested that we didn't run the plays that were practiced. I take this to mean 4 and 5 wide sets (per JJ's interview). One of JJ's better games as QB (if not his best) was this approach vs Auburn in '09 (21-31-0 for 242 yds and 2TD's).

Why we didn't try it on 1/9 is IMO a 10X BIGGER ISSUE than who played QB.

IMO defensive players should worry about the def
Offensive players worry about offense.
Let coaches decide team captains.

Why any offensive playrs would elect that dude captain is beyond me.

Did he make the same comment about Lee's play in that game? He really shouldn't be saying that kind of thing to any college football player.

Are you serious? How can you compare the two games? did you view both. Jefferson's performance was vintage i.e. awful. He had so many such signature performances over his time at LSU, yet LM could think of nothing else to do on that fateful day? Get some sleep.

CLM has allowed, even been a enabler of JJ to talk like this his whole career at LSU. No surprize that JJ has turned on the one, CLM, that supported him unconditionally.

Choctaw, Miles was the coach, but not the play caller. And for those that think the offensive conservatism will end this year with the absence of JJ and JL will be disappointed.

so basically what you're saying is that when the offense was awesome Miles wasn't calling the plays.....but when the offense was bad he was.

So from '05 - '08 Miles did nothing with the offense....but all of a sudden he said "screw it, im calling everything now" from '09 - '11? yea...that makes complete sense

The team was set up for failure from the moment Les let JJ back on the team. The wins came in spite of the coaching decisions, and when it counted the most it caught up with the team. I don't imagine Les will ever make a worse coaching decision in career than this. Don't let JJ back on the team, keep Lee as the starter and let Mett get some quality snaps as the backup and LSU wins 28 straight over this year and next.

Don't point to the Bama game and say we couldn't have won with Lee - don't let JJ back on the team and Lee continues to improve and we win at Bama. Lee knew he was screwed when JJ came back, I think he only hung around hoping Les would have the common courtesy of giving him a reach around but he didn't it turns out.

I really don't understand what you are saying. Why can't you compare the two games? What semi worked on offense the first game wasn't going to work at all the second game. Was the first game signature Lee? He had a bad game, it happens. The plays we ran weren't helping any. We could have tried some other things. We didn't. Isn't that what both Peterson and Jefferson said.

I said earlier in one of my posts that I was ready to put this mess behind me and look forward to next season. But I have to say that JJ has been consistent throughout his career. The coaches constantly pumped him up to build up his ego. He believed he was superman. He blamed anyone and everyone for his failures. The bar incident could jump up and bite him in his rear end. He never learned to take responsibility for his mistakes. But how can anyone excuse the conduct and judgement of one coach Les Big 10 Bo wanna be Miles. I will hold the way he mistreated JL and T-Bob always. Favoring seniority goes out the window goes out the window when these 2 players names are mentioned. No senior should have been disrespected the way these 2 were on senior day. With parents and friends watching. 2 five year players who loved LSU. Les is an arse and always will be for this act.

You do realize that Crowton was FIRED his first year at Maryland, right? He also ruined freshman All-American, Danny O'Brien.

this is such a dumb statement just based off of the first game against Bama. We don't get out of that game with a W thus we don't get to the SEC championship game. Lee is a good QB when he is not getting hit, but against pressure he folds.

So what did you think of former #LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson's statement that play calling was bad in #BCS game? QB play was worse, IMO

The dude is getting blasted all over the place right now. Everyone just needs to move on.
