The fall out from this game has gone from frustrating and embarrassing to hilarious

word. To me and i think a lot of people this was always the worst. Telling people how great you played after performances like 4-9 50 yards is just disturbing.

More and more I'm coming around to agreeing that going with JJ, and HOPING that he finally learns how to execute a play, was better than risking a pick six with JL.

You do realize jlee hasn't thrown a pick 6 since 2000 and fricking 8 don't you?

Bottom line is jj isnt a likeable player.
On his bet day he was mediocre.
He thought way more of his self than imaginable.
Best thing can do is stfu and move back to whoever he is from and get on with his life and quit making things worse than they already are.

Ive gotten labeled a racist, received threatening pms and even been banned for saying all along what everyone now knows to be true.
It's over now. Just wish jj would go away, stop making things worse for himself.

think it's fair to say that CLM was pretty much faced with a no win situation vs Alabama...one QB who obviously spent not enough time studying the game plan (whether or not it was good enough), or another QB who had a meltdown vs Bama in the first game.

More and more I'm coming around to agreeing that going with JJ, and HOPING that he finally learns how to execute a play, was better than risking a pick six with JL.

Quick question for you, how many pick sixes did Lee throw after 2008? Even better, what is JL and JJ's interception to attempt ratio since 2008? Even during his "meltdown," which consisted of two bad throws (one following a bad snap), he didn't throw a pick six. I think JJ's meltdown against Bama on 1/9 was much worse than Lee's performance. (ETA: Jefferson fumbled at least one if not two perfect snaps, at least Lee's mistakes came when he was under pressure)

There are lot of QB's that struggle as freshmen that go on to do fairly well. It was pretty clear over the last two seasons who the better QB would have been, but Miles refused to be wrong (to the point where he was willing to lose instead of giving Lee a chance to show that Miles was wrong).

BTW, it is funny that Jefferson is throwing Miles under the bus when Miles ignored logic to keep him on the field.

Hell he probably didn't want to talk about it but no radio person is going to let him on to just discuss his slim NFL prospects.

I knew I would get flak for this, but I was trying to explain what was going through LM's mind. Also, my opinion was based totally on JL's performance in the Bama game, nothing else. I just think CLM thought Bama was too inside JL's head.

NOW, do I think that JL should have been back in the saddle in the games after Bama: Yes. But since he wasn't, that's what I formulated my opinion on. What was in CLM's head. JJ was sort of like a slot machine that got cold on you. You keep betting the lines because you know if it hits, it hits big. In coach's mind, maybe the returns of JL weren't as big as the potential of JJ.

We're all just beating a dead horse here. Only two people know the correct answer. Just saying that Bama's offense game plan was as mundane as ours, but they made every play count. You think the Bama fans weren't up in arms when TR was taken out the game consistently in the LSU red zone and they were settling for FG's?

Bama loses and see what happens. CLM was hoping for one big play by JJ and that never was even close to happening.

That's been all the talk at work today. Biting the hand that fed him for the past 3 mediocre (and I'm being kind) seasons.

I for one will be looking to see how good Mett is coming out this year. If he shows any success, its likely the QB we needed to win the MNC was on the bench which means the unthinkable to LSU fans: Miles allegiance to seniority potentially cost LSU a title.

I wonder what Les thinks about his QB now--true class always rises to the top--JJ showed his true colors, while his counterpart JL kept his mouth shut and conducted himself professionally. I said from the beginning of the season that when JJ is re-instated that Les would turn to JJ as soon as he could, and ride him down with the ship. He did--but the best news on this is that jefferson is gone, and we can look forward to Mett, who I think will have a huge season.

And some of you wonder why someone would put a thank you jarrett lee ad in the advocate.

It should've said very simply,, thanks jarrett for not being like Jordan.

I don't quite believe this. I think it is Miles' allegiance to consistency that gets him in trouble at times. To clarify, I think Miles believes JL could give you anywhere from a 20-90 on a scale of 1-100, while JJ will give you a 60-70. I think Miles believed that JL's best was better than JJ's best, but he knew exactly what he was getting with JJ and he could gameplan around that. He believed JL brought too many variables to the table.
