i just don't understand what the OP is riding Jimbo's schedule for, it sounds like he'd only accept someone from the SEC as a candidate.

I feel like the only person that would be good enough for most fans would be Jesus Christ.

Oh the negative people are already bitching about the next coach who hasn't been hired!??

What I would love is to get "Classicdroppings" going and find out what people were really saying about Jimbo in the first 3-4 years of this website. I recall some ugly things said.

very. most people hated Jimbo.
FSU came along and they liked him again because he was in the spotlight. Our fans are just that stupid; he must be better if he is on TV!!!!

Thank you. Hopefully all this stupid arse JImbo Fisher talk gets put to rest soon and we can move on to better and more realistic options.

What has Jimbo done at FSU that makes everyone think he will be a great hire ?
3 years and only 3 losses would be my reason. Besides, it's the best chance to keep the recruiting class in-tact, IMO.

Jimbo isn't coming to LSU. From my understanding he is divorced with children, one of whom has an illness that is being treated in Tallahassee. He's also making over $5,000,000 a year. Why would he come to a school where coaches have to deal with fans like LSUs who look at everything through purple and gold glasses and don't think anyone else could possibly have a better team.

An awesome idea... But that's how LSU fans work... LSU should win EVERY game 59-0 and have ZERO penalties called on them,The QB to complete 95% of his passes...ect.....

Jimbo is about the only guy I'd want to fire Miles for.

Jimbo is not the answer
What is the question?
You're right, Jimbo is not the answer, if it's one of the following:
Who do we hire that will win a national championship every year?
Who do we hire that will win the SECw every year?
Who do we hire that will beat Bama every year?
If the question is.. Who will make a big splash, and has the pedigree and experience to win big at LSU, and will bring some life to the offense??
Then Jimbo is probably the best answer out there.
Besides.. Anyone who can recruit a great QB out of Alabama can have my vote. The last person to do that for LSU was Saban.

Stan White, Undrafted, New York Giants (1994–1997)
Josh Booty, 2000 6th Rd, Pick 9
Rohan Davey, 2001 4th Rd, Pick 19
Matt Mauck, 2003 7th Rd, Pick 24
JaMarcus Russell, 2007 1st Rd, Pick 1
Christian Ponder, 2011 1st Rd, Pick 12
EJ Manuel, 2013 1st Rd, Pick 16
Jameis Winston, 2015 1st Rd, Pick 1
Pretty much every starting QB he's developed in the past 20 years, minus Patrick Nix at Auburn, has had an NFL career. The past decade no coach has put more QBs in the first round. He's got the gift.

I'm not saying Jimbo wouldn't be a great coach for our tigers, but every starter on his fsu championship team is on an NFL roster. Most are starting in the NFL, that team was loaded with talent. Jimbo did put them in position to win but hell I think just about any average coach could have won with that talent.
