There was no job to offer.

By the time Alleva attempted to get his shite straight, public opinion shifted from, "fire him" to, "don't fire him."

He has an easy path to playoffs in ACC.
Why would he want to join the SEC west with Saban still there. Sexton got him a raise and he will be next in line at Bama likely.

You don't really buy that?

I have yet to see a rational reason why Jimbo would jump from his current gig to LSU. I don't mean he would never discuss it, but doing it doesn't make much sense to me.

Yep. No contact was made. He may have thought about after the season but he never did.

LSU is screwed and its no fault of Miles or any other coaches.

So you were privy to the internal conversations that may or may not have happened? Oh wait you have source don't you,? Was it the good friend who knows a guy in Memphis who overheard Sexton at the bar at Jack's Place East or wait, wait, Folk's Folly, mention the letters LSU at some point in a conversation.

Or it was the guy at the Waffle House off I-10 who serves Jimbo the ham and cheese omelet with scattered, smothered, covered and chunked hash browns who got to your cousin who told your roommate who then told you.

NEWSFLASH: LSU is a very attractive job, but it is no more attractive than FSU or UGA for that matter or USC. You delude yourself!!!!

There should have been a plan b-z then.

Was Alleva to conjure these plan b-z's up through magic or something. Who are these proto Saban's, obvious and available, who should have been considered as plans b-z? Honest question.

I was obviously being sarcastic dude. But there should have been a plan b other than retaining Miles. Why do I have to provide names? I don't get paid to run that 100 million dollar a year business.

Jimbo said he would talk to them but that his $ was 7 Million to even entertain it. That's basically where the whole thing ended. He had no intention of leaving.

I honestly could believe this i mean hes set where he is at but everything is for sale for the right price. He dont have any allegiance to LSU like i think we want to believe because we want miles out that bad, LSU had their chance to give Jimbo the job but decided to give it to someone whos biggest accomplishment at the time was beating Oklahoma.

No, what this shows is that there were a bunch of SANE people who actually write the checks who did not see this as a good deal at this time.

Look if I'm going to throw 10 million as some have reported that Hank Anderson was about to ( personally, I think it's B. S.), then I'm damn well going to expect #1 classes and an immediate national championship, none of this playoff nonsense and if I don't get a national championship within 2 years, I'd be pulling any future monies .

USCw said he was interested to go there, so there is a good chance he's trying to get out of FSU

Oh well

LSU is in mediocrity and it starts from the very top.

Fans can swim in da nile if they want but thats where it is.

If bama or Michigan had a chance to get their guy, would they not take it and complete the task?

Everyone already knows the answer.

Sehorn is based on the West Coast & I doubt he has little to no contacts re any SEC school. He's just reporting what is out there already & is not a new source.
